In addition to his suggestion I also had thought of doing this due to my creativity capabilities so I opted this industry. Sanjay Verma: PTS mainly deals in all types of Gifting ideas whether it’s a customised or a readymade gift item. The main focus is to give the gifts as per customer budget & for any occasion. We also put lot of focus on customization. After understanding the customer requirement & their budget we always try to convert their idea into a beautiful gift. Great Companies: What makes Perfect Touch Solutions different from hundreds of other similar service providers? Sanjay Verma: After working for more than 2 years in this industry, knowing lots of people in similar profile and analysing their way of working I found that PTS is very different in a way that we always show the actual product sample which lots of similar profile people does not do the same. As I feel personally that without showing the actual product to the customer & getting a feel of the product the personal touch is missing which we always take care. Also Lot matters on your way of presenting the product and explaining its features and benefits to the customer & offering a right gift item as per their budget. Just to mention here that I got lot of biz based on showing the actual product sample to the customer with a perfect presentation. I can refer this point with good examples of Biz Closed with some big Corporates. I am also being known in my social circle for always sharing a new & Innovative Gift Item every time I do the product promotion. Great Companies: What are the struggles and challenges you face? Sanjay Verma: Initially when I entered in this industry I was not having any Godfather who could help to show the right path how to move forward. The main struggle was to find out the right source for right kind of product which I was not having at all as I was not from this industry. So after lot of roaming around & meeting new vendors I got a little success. But I keep on adding new gift items along with vendors on a regular Interval. Then after an year passed I got to know the quality of some selected vendors with whom I still work. The main challenge was to understand the way of working as per industry norms. Lot of tough instances really taught me to understand the working and also making a proper process of order execution. Just to mention here that my past IT & Cosmetics Industry experience really helped me to understand the same in much faster way and putting them in my daily routine work. I really feel & proud that some of my vendors (who have also become my friend) appreciate my way of working & adopting the industry norms so fast which others took much more years to understand. Another challenge was definitely the finance as this industry mainly work on upfront payment with No credit facility. Fortunately I did not face much problem and perfectly managed to overcome this problem just because of making a proper process of getting the same from the end customer well in time with NO BAD Debt even after more than 2 years. Great Companies: How do you plan to grow in the future? What does 5 years down the line look like for Perfect Touch Solutions? Sanjay Verma: Currently I am working on lot of things related to making the organisation to grow & taking to a platform where people from corporate companies see the organisation as the best & Most Preferred Gifting solution provider. I am also using social media platform in a very big way & also trying to add some team members in the organisation shortly who can take the company to the next level. Just to mention here that currently after starting in Sep 2019 & going thru a tough phase of covid pandemics with 3 breaks (approx. working of 18-20 months) today PTS stands with 51 corporate Gift customers on board with whom we get repeat business (for more than 2 times on an average) from more than 22% customer base which itself is not an easy job & I feel is a big achievement. After 5 years I see the company on a much bigger platform with a Huge Turnover and at least 300 plus corporate customers in our customer list. Great Companies: If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be? Sanjay Verma: I like to say to all new start Ups or who are looking forward to jump into starting their own biz …few points – Always do lot of R & D for what you are planning to start – mainly the industry – All In & Outs, all challenges & try to find out way out to work smoothly – Always Look for solutions of problems you are seeing. Never take short cut – always believe that your hard work will pay back to you in longer run. Focus on what you are doing & with a good amount of dedication. Do smart work instead of hard work. Plan your marketing strategy & finance planning well & always try to maintain a perfect balance between both. Always share truth with customer whenever there is a problem related to execution of their order. They will help to overcome the same. Keep your Eyes & Ears always Open & keep an eye on your competition what they are doing and what you can do to become a better solution provider to the end customer. My co-founder (Shoeb Akhtar) and I met there, and he was trying to build something interesting and solve problems with coaching classes and students. So our conversation lasted two hours, and we then discussed it there. We both knew at the end of the conversation that we were thinking big, and we began working for Guruji Finder from there. The first is our online portal, which allows anyone to find the best tutors and coaching classes in their area. For learners who lack motivation when taking tests, we created a gamified version of the quiz portal that rewards you if you win quizzes organised by us and the coaching class. Pratyush RAJ Prasad: So, because we're still in the early stages, the most difficult part was conducting market research because we needed on-the-ground data. We almost talked to 300+ students and discovered the exact problem, as well as the pain point for coaching class. Pratyush RAJ Prasad: We intend to launch our full working platform within the next month, but for the time being, we are focusing on students who plan to pursue post-graduate studies and assisting them in finding the best coaching in their area. Babu Jose: Customer has become a priority for many organizations. They forget to give priorities for the team. it’s time to change our views. There for if you are planning to start a business especially in service sector, try to be more responsible and give more importance to the team satisfaction same as customer satisfaction. There are hygienic activities and motivational areas while managing the team and we need to take care of both at the same time to make sure the organisation is productive. Babu Jose: In service sector, the country is yet to recognise many services as industry and value additional activities and this reflects in the incentive schemes and bank finances. Many of the businesses are not ready to open up their processes to improve and they still follow old methodologies, educating these organisations takes time. COVID-19 has offcourse is still a challenge and situation we need to manage. Great Companies: How do you plan to grow in the future? What does 5 years down the line look like for GREAT LEAP? Babu Jose: Nowadays we do things that technology will replace or automate many business processes and we are already in that route. We are diversifying our services in many more areas where we can utilise our analytical and research skills to benefit many more organisations in their quick and error free decision making. Great Companies: How did you get your idea or concept for the business? Goutham Ravi: It was in early 2018 when on a road trip to Pondicherry. We had passed many a 'decent looking' restaurant when we were'nt hungry, and when we were, we could'nt find one. So without choice, we ended up at a small, thatched eatery run by an old lady and serving authentic hot dosas prepared on woodfire. It not only turned out to be great food, but just talking to the lady about her story was an experience in itself. The eatery was one that would not even get a 2nd look from travellers. But why not? It was clean, inexpensive, fresh food and totally authentic. That was when it struck me that there is no platform that existed, that showcased these small establishments and tell their stories to travellers. Great Companies: What are the various Services provided by Xafari (Gohash Travel Pvt Ltd) Goutham Ravi: We are primarily a Travel platform (Mobile App & Website) connecting Travellers with off-beat Places and Rural small businesses that cater to tourism. We do this by: 1) Showcasing rural small business by curating their stories, providing them a dedicated space on the platform and by promoting them to travellers 2) Curating & Publishing Travel Articles that inspire travellers to explore the unconventional in rural India 3) Providing travellers information about a large reporisoty of Places to Visit. Each of these places have content curated in-house containing detailed information, stories, local legend and folklore. Goutham Ravi: We are the only travel platform that showcases the stories of small rural businesses in India and directly connect them to travelers who appreciate unconventional tourism. Great Companies: What are the struggles and challenges you face? Goutham Ravi: The travel industry has been crippled by the pandemic. We started the conceptualization and drawing board work just prior to the pandemic and have had to persevere through 2 COVID waves before we could launch, and are now faced with the 3rd. This has in-turn delayed our monetization and subsequent investment to expand. We are currently on the lookout for like minded investors/angels to sustain the business.
