Krème de la Krème is French for ‘Best of the Best’. It is a boutique ice cream parlour which makes handcrafted and artisanal gelato with unique flavours sourced from around the world. The flavours and the ambience are well-thought and distinctly will give a feel of a European Ice cream parlour. Our gelatos are handcrafted and manufactured with our signature recipes. Apart from gelatos, we also bake cookies, brownies and waffles in our kitchen itself.
What challenges have you overcome to reach where you are now
Entrepreneurship path comes with many challenges. To start an ice cream manufacturing with no food or business background was the biggest challenge. I spent 6 months in research for flavours, manufacturing equipment and places to start my business. I also got trained by expert chefs in making gelatos. A woman starting a business is still frowned upon by many. While grinding through the bureaucracies of government and banks, I came across many such people looking down upon me. They said, “You do not have experience”. “You are too young to start a business.”. All these did not reduce my confidence. In fact, it made me stronger and wiser. “Ease of doing business” is still far away from its actual realization. Right from applying for a loan to applying a business license to hiring staff there are layers of agents which feed on the poor entrepreneurs. But, it takes a while to find the right people and then you do achieve the milestones one by one.
What message you want give for other aspiring women entrepreneurs
It is ok to be ambitious. It is ok to take the risk and follow your heart. It is ok to try and it is ok to fail. Give yourself the time and patience it requires. There will be a lot of people who will try to stop you citing various reasons but believe in yourself and take the plunge.

Experience teaches you everything. In our profession every client you come across is different, so many different minds we need to tackle with and at the end making sure work is satisfactory and as per what they wanted. What message you want to give for other aspiring women entrepreneurs
Please do work somewhere and take experience before you start your own firm. Working for few years initially will help you in many ways, it will strengthen ur foundation, intellectually, in terms of challenges one faces in work and confidence. Atleast 3-4 year experience before starting your own firm is mandatory. Which nowadays sadly young graduates don’t feel it important to do so.

What challenges have you overcome to reach where you are now
The biggest challenge was telling people that a women can build a successful company right from her home, and that too a company which is knowledge driven. We work on research, and have done such work with United Nations and Government of India, purely on our knowledge. A women and a work from home company and that too which challenges the way normal societal norms are set sees a lot of rejection, a lot of ridicule and almost no support from funding organisations. So raising funs, getting clients and finally establishing a brand name for ourselves which the United Nations and biggest brands feel happy to work with was a great challenge, we are still walking and are sure we will be able to make a strong mark.
What message you want to give for other aspiring women entrepreneurs
If you know what you are doing, and can just carry on without fear you will be successful. Remember people in jobs don't know what entrepreneurship is, and will ridicule you on your non swanky looking laptops or cellphones, or that you use a Bus for coming to the meeting, also those who have made it successful don't come to help so easily, the story of success has to be made by you only, once you are successful, everyone will line up with you or behind you, till then it is your personal journey and your personal strength that will make you succeed.

The ability to succeed is to take one step forward everyday given the ability, the resources, the time and the people that you journey with. The challenges along the way made me stronger and wiser, but only if I learn from it. Challenges are opportunities to improve at a cost. Everyone falls to be successful, you must know when to rise again after your fall. Rising too fast when you have not recovered could mean that you might fall again in the future. Therefore, let’s not be impulsive when we are faced with challenges, but take a step back and stay still, rethink and restrategise so that we can rise and stand firm on the ground.

As a bootstrapped company, we had to be creative for the first 2 years to make money with minimal expenditure. Marketing and new hires were always done with the money which earned via the company. Plus entering a market (the wedding industry) about which I had no clue about and the competition was not just high but they had showrooms and serious marketing budget was tough, but fun :).
What message you want to give for other aspiring women entrepreneurs
The time is now ! There will always be reasons to push it for a few years, but the time is now... As women we put everyone else ahead of our dreams, but with social media rising up there are creative ways to make it happen. Even when funding isn't there, bootstrap it.. there is great pleasure in not having any debt in a profit making company! First few years will be tough but you will love it.. so roll up your sleeves and get started.

Finances High competition. Many bakeries around. Cheaper altenatives easily available Time management - Being a home kitchen production cant be done 24x7. It leads to night production schedules Visibility - since I dont have a bakery there is not much visibility and no direct sales. Creating awareness - it is a bit difficult to create awareness that home baked can be customised as store bought ones yet they are fresh , healthier, preservative free and chemical free.

1. Initial capital investment : Pozibility is self funded company. Prakash(my husband) & I (Ayyamma) are partner. I wanted to start company I mentioned my family I will manage with what ever PF fund I have and for name sake partner I asked my husband to be partner. With minimal fund we manage to run and grow the company now our revenue is 15 Cr -20 Crs Per year
2. Managing alone Being a single lady visiting customer, winning deals, managing engineering team was challenging. Had to put daily plan in place. First half had planned for customer visits and second half managing engineering teams.
3. Hiring experienced VLSI/Semiconductor engineer was challenging. Designed own training program and started training so that we can create and give career to many fresh grads
4. Retention : We have huge attrition in this industry. Usually it is around 30%. Reduced it to 10% with close interactions with teams, good softskill training's have helped us to retain engineers
5. Winning business : As there are more players, winning business is difficult. since we have created good engineers with good attitude and soft skills, always customers are happy to work with our engineers and give business to our team
What message you want to give for other aspiring women entrepreneurs
1. If you have an idea to start something. Just get started with what ever funds/resources you have. The entrepreneurship in you will enable you to manage everything

The Musicians belonging to Ars Musik are dedicated the preservation of Classical Music through orchestral and chamber music concerts. We believe (and have proven!) that classical music is not only an amazing form of art but is also a fantastic way to help raise money for people (particularly children) in need.
What challenges have you overcome to reach where you are now
Ars Musik has worked to help the earthquake victims here in Mexico as well as helping the Rotary Club - "Valle de Toluca" with the building the primary school "Benito Juárez" in San Juan Tilapa in the State of Mexico. Some of our musicians have also played several very successful fund raising concerts in Thailand, helping to raise over $10,000 USD for Thai children in only two concerts!
Sometimes our concerts are very well attended and raise a lot of money for local causes, while other times months worth of work, both on the musicians as well as the organizer´s part, are put to the test because of natural disasters and have lost a great deal of money because of poor attendance.
When a "red" concert happens, it is always back to the drawing board. We are forced, for financial reasons, to offer smaller concerts, while at the same time, to look for new ways to find new sponsorship programs which will help raise money for the causes involved while also helping the musicians make a living from playing the classical music that they yearn to perform and perform so well.
The promotion of classical music is a VERY hard profession to be in, however we have not only managed to survive, but have become so prosperous as to have received a Government Grant from the State of Mexico in 2018 to play a concert tour of Thailand, finishing with a dinner performance for the BNI Global Convention, Thailand, 2018!
What message you want to give for other aspiring women entrepreneurs
I would say to any woman aspiring to be an entrepreneur that dreams are possible and worth striving for! Our first concert here in Toluca, Mexico was not a technical success. We actually lost a bit of money on that concert because of poor attendance BUT a man who had purchased a ticket to the concert was so moved by the cause (a girl who was born deaf who needed an operation soon in order to be able to avoid spending the rest of her life without hearing) that he wrote to the personal physician of the president of Mexico, asking for his help. The girl´s family was offered financial assistance ($50,000 USD!!) for the operation of their daughter, and all because of a small but brilliantly performed chamber music concert of Vivaldi´s Four Seasons! I believe strongly that dreams are real and can be grasped on one´s hand if one only reaches far enough.

So, be yourself and if you have the inner power and talent be your own boss because no one is awesome then you and no one is better then you. And yes, Age and Experience is just a number, nothing else.

Shifting gears and industries from being a media professional to an entrepreneur in the education industry - starting my own venture, and raising a child in a nuclear set up needed a lot of self conviction. My journey so far has been fulfilling and an enriching, along with some challenges.
Back in 2013 when I launched The Kids Company, we didn’t have a commercial space so The Kids Company has actually started from my house (had a dedicating a room for the same.) It wasn’t as easy and convenient as it sounds. To have a workspace at home, and with a growing toddler around all the time was taxing and challenging. Setting professional standards and overcoming clients’ (parents’) perception, who would misinterpret it as ‘just another tuition class’ was a herculean task. I had made a clear demarcation between my personal and professional space though they co existed in the same premises. Another challenge which I face till date is to switch roles. A strict routine is needed to strike a balance between professional and personal commitments. I have an action packed day, juggling emails, planning and conducting sessions, meeting clients along with the regular mommy chores like filling up on groceries and taking up my sons studies.
There are a lot of uncertainties when you run your own venture. As a Women Entrepreneur, one needs to be prepared to be hit by any kind of challenges either on a personal front or professional. Initially I got anxious and nervous, but I guess motherhood has made me stronger, and more open to accept surprises that come along – whatever be the challenge/hurdle work for me, continues seamlessly!
What message you want to give for other aspiring women entrepreneurs
Organise your life around your dreams and watch them come true!

After rising and falling multiple times with a successful startup, the hard part is to believe that you can rise again and the two time was not a fluke, I did that with YOSO Media as a solo founder and it has given me immense confidence as an entrepreneur.

Take the plunge to do what you love at least once in your life because the worst that can happen is that you'll fail, it won't kill you. You can always change gears if it doesn't work. Employment redundancy; zero savings; cashing my full pension to do a 180 degree turn around – re-inventing myself and career; cutting down overheads to bare bones; investing in equipment from every objects income; using all resources – time, money and physical abilities to put back into the business. Marketed through word of mouth, networking 24/7 365 days, and creating online presence. Starting with close friends and restoring their artifacts, led to my first client who picked my business card from my frame shop - i now have 14 clients. In four years i have completed over 40 different projects. I have sustained my livelihood without any huge income to show, except that i have earned the respect of the 14 clients. Frequently asked question, "Are there antique collections in Kenya?" Smilingly, i describe the latest project in my studio. AND this creates the awareness and opportunity for people to think of their artifacts and the importance of restoration and conservation. Would i stop this business? NO. Sarcastic comments from your own friends, no support or, your own family, dejection from the authorities, sense of depression within myself are some of the major challenges I faced. But I strongly believed in one thing - that is the purpose of the project. The purpose of the project was to bring smiles to n number of needy people, with no monetary intention. I was more focused on the happiness I would see on a hungry face. today I am overwhelmed with the fact that there are n number of people blessing the unknown faceless person who contributed food.

Your success is driven by your mindset. Like fear, the past and the future are products of your mind. No amount of guilt can change the past, and no amount of anxiety can change the future. Successful people know this, and they focus on living in the present moment. It’s impossible to reach your full potential if you’re constantly somewhere else, unable to fully embrace the reality (good or bad) of this very moment. To live in the moment, you must do two things: 1) Accept your past. If you don’t make peace with your past, it will never leave you and it will create your future. Successful people know the only good time to look at the past is to see how far you’ve come. 2) Accept the uncertainty of the future, and don’t place unnecessary expectations upon yourself. My journey started 13 yrs back as i was a cancer patient i had overian cancer, got operated uterus n overies were removed it was major surgery. Doctor suggested kemo n radiation but i denied as we had long family history. Went to kerla got myself treated with ayurved external medicines. But my inner quest never allowed me to rest so started searching why me ?? Learnt anatomy that was nit enough i guess so learnt naturopathy hypnotherapy mastered it both along with it also learnt past life regression, healing with breath , cristal healing and many more .. After that i was hit 3 times by paralysis called GB syndrom 3years my both legs were paralysed but went thru plasma replacement but i myself went on death bed but doctor injected adrenaline to save my life as they had lost me for 14mins. Then i went to learn spa therapies to Thailand & Bali so i can cure neurally just with accupressure. Had two hurnia operations following year. Got cured fast by my own therapies that time i came to know I have hole in my heart known as ASD got operated last year .. Its been year now i am fit n fine .. The best part is after having this long history i am on no medication atall .. This is what i want to tell people that we need no medicines to our body as it is bydefault fighter for all diseases.
Thats it guys since last 5 years helping people to heal them on there own. Its God who speaks thru me heals thru me .. Without his blessings I am nowhere.

I am a Gynaecologist, practising for the last 27 years. I have a specialised centre - Immunotherapy Centre for Prevention of Repeated Miscarriages (ICPRM). ICPRM is the only centre in India, cleared by DCGI for Lymphocyte Immunization Therapy (LIT) for patients with Repeated Miscarriages and Recurrent IVF Failures. The treatment involves separation of lymphocytes from the husband’s blood and injecting them into the skin of the wife. The process is copyrighted and patent is pending. We have ben associated with more than 700 LIT procedures, for patients with up to 15 miscarriages and up to 12 IVF failures, with a success rate above 80%. We have presented our work in many international and national conferences. These success stories keep motivating us and make us work more to help these unfortunate couples to fulfil their dream of having a baby!!

The awareness about the Immunotherapy LIT treatment was low among the people and also among doctors. I had to arrange awareness camps and write articles in magazines and newspapers to reach people. I had to give talks in conferences in India and abroad and write articles in Indian and international journals to involve doctors in this treatment. I have started a charitable trust to work in this field to help more people.

Mind Life Consultants as an aspiration and dream started after my stint in HR and trainings for some years, wherein my family was not supportive of my original passion to work in the area of Mental Health. They considered Mental Health field to be strugglesome and had a mindset that it's low paying. However, after becoming a mother, I realized I wasn't happy even after earning a high salary in a Corporate as my original passion was in the area of Mental Health. Against all my odds with a young one in my arms, I initiated a come back wherein an ex College Professor Dr. Mario also made me realize that we can't give up on Our dreams for the sake of money or other ppl's approval. Thus without any support, and amidst a lot of disharmony I started from home my own Clinic in between hours of tending my child, house work and other chores. In a couple of years I could manage to accumulate as much that I took up an Office in Mumbai when we shifted to Mumbai from Bangalore.
Resources,lack of support,multitasking as a mother of a young boy,Relocation from one city to another as my husband being highly ambitious and focussed on his growth were my major challenges at that time. Another big challenge I faced was as my child grew, we realized he is a special kid and needs a lot more attention than other kids. Amidst all these challenges, as yet not my kid is 11 and I am faring well in my Clinical practice, accepting at times my limitations as a mother and having shifted to a two tier city from Mumbai, wherein I have to manage all of it alone, it's been a highly satisfying journey though yes resources to update my work certainly would always add more value, yet am extremely glad that now aa IN my passion field of work and giving my bedrest IN it. Dental health is the most neglected .Awareness was very poor. A lot of ppl came to a dentist only when they were in pain.So creating an awareness was a challenge. The next biggest factor was the cost of providing dental treatment and at the same time not compromising on the quality. We were able to do this by educating the patients on preventive procedures thereby avoiding a lot of cost to the patients.

Also the field being new, every new employee needs to be thoroughly trained into the subject; there is no formal education program available in this field in India. So I taught the subject in architecture colleges on weekly basis to spread the knowledge.

You can achieve what you can believe. Listen to your mind & it will give your a vision- follow it. There were 2 things I always felt strongly for... first is impact of light on human mind & 2nd is about how our approach towards children should be more respectful and inclusive. After having successfully set up my lighting design practice for 17 years, together with my husband, I have also taken up a UK based Enjoy-a-ball franchise to revolutionize little children's experience and love for sports and physical activities.
