  • Vidhya Rana Vyas - Co Founder of LoveForSalad

Great Companies: Please tell me something about the business and how did you come up with such an idea? Vidhya Rana Vyas: It's amazing to have an idea but it's like all stars lining up for your good will when your team gives a thumbs up and take plunge for you. Every office and college in Ahmedabad has the same story- skipping breakfast and rushing to colleges or workplaces and when hunger yells out of stomach, we gobble anything greasy, easily available junk adding to belly tyre gradually and a grace of health, activeness goes lacking significantly. Being comp-engineers, having a mostly sedentary work style we realised we didn't really have a healthy, easy and yet tasty option for food. Out of dire necessity of good food, healthy taste-lovers and a bunch of geeks- we came up with the marvellous concept of LoveForSalad at our first coffee round with newly welcomed Morphy Richards at office. Great Companies: What are the various services and products provided by your company? Vidhya Rana Vyas: LoveForSalad provides four basic categories of salad- Pasta Salads, Fruit Salads, Green Salads, Sprout Salads with a complementary drink and filler. A nut to end with and wait...some food for thought too- read a beautiful liner/doodle while you have such good food. Love your health? You'll love LoveForSalad. Pre-pay Health Packs for 20 days and more. Great Companies: Why should one choose you over others in this field? Vidhya Rana Vyas: 1. Classy Quality. 2. Engineer's touch. 3. More than just healthy meal. Great Companies: What are the struggles and challenges you face? Vidhya Rana Vyas: Target customers are niche and limited. Manpower often keep on changing in food industry and training new staff, keeping up with ongoing business, maintaining quality and speed while we chop fresh and then delivering quickly is challenging. When you prepare fresh, shelf life is limited and deliver in time: scaling is difficult. Salads for meals are yet not a lifestyle for the masses, so dine-in (easy, stable food business- mass production and serving quick on the table or buffet) doesn't align with our concept. Great Companies: What do you think are the few main things which are most important for a successful business? Vidhya Rana Vyas: The product should speak for itself (and you). · Systematization. · Timely funding, achieving break even and profit- fund utilization smartly thereafter for the growth path. · Automation as much as possible. · Strategic marketing. Sales should be on the mind of the founders always. · Growing Network.

Once i find out a bit about them, i am then able to capture there authentic emotions based on what they love. Great Companies: What are the struggles and challenges you face? Jasmin Whately: With a lot of Photography businesses out there, our main challenge was standing out in the crowd, so we tried a few avenues to market the business by seeing what other businesses were doing and found that it didn't suit our businesses Values, then we realised the answer was straight in front of our face, we want our clients to feel connected with us with open communication whether that's over a cuppa or a phone call, and to feel comfortable in front of the camera, so we needed to be able to connect with our clients with using our own Businesses values. We then decided to contact a few business coaches to see who was the best fit to help us define our marketing and sales whilst keeping to our core values, unfortunately we found a couple of business coaches who wanted to change our way of dealing with our clients in a more confronting pushy way, then we finally found a really good Business coach who appreciated our values and worked with us to define it, and then our last challenge was we got really busy which i say is a good challenge so we decided to hire some staff making sure they accepted and appreciated our businesses values and now we have an amazing team of 5 to present our business and its values to our clients the right way. Great Companies: What do you think are the few main things which are most important for a successful business? Jasmin Whately: Patience, Passion, Commitment, Dedication, Strong Relationships, Customer Focus, and Value.
