Jamie Forster - Owner and Professional Counsellor of Akeso Counselling

Great Companies: Please tell me something about the business and how did you come up with such an idea?

Jamie Forster: I am on a mission to help people live to their best potential without limitation.

Great Companies: What are the various services and products provided by your company?

Jamie Forster: I specialise in family therapy, working with adults, children and young people or groups, and offer counselling support for those undergoing fertility treatment.

Great Companies: Why should one choose you over others in this field?

Jamie Forster: I am deeply invested in my clients as individuals and work in collaboration with them, to help them put their best foot forward. I am continuously engaging in further training to ensure I can support my clients with the most up to date and effective techniques available and am using the most current research to help support them along their journey.

Great Companies: What are the struggles and challenges you face?

Jamie Forster: My biggest struggle is that there is simply not enough hours in the day. Honestly, my biggest struggle is working with someone and being able to see more potential in them than they can see in themselves, but I have learned that if I persevere with patience, warmth and a non-judgmental way of being eventually they will see it too.

Great Companies: What do you think are the few main things which are most important for a successful business?

Jamie Forster: For me, the foundation of a success business is treating others the way you want to be treated. Always act with integrity and learn when to say no, but always practice saying yes.
