In the next two years, the organization aims to assist at least 20,000 SME business owners in growing their sales, increasing profits, and operating their businesses in autopilot mode. It is assisting businesses, government and semi-government agencies, small and medium-sized enterprises, colleges, and schools in identifying their areas of strength and improvement to achieve greater success in their professional and business lives. Unique Selling Proposition or Competitive Advantage: Sunson Trainings stands apart from other companies because it chooses to work one-on-one with clients to deliver the required results rather than working in groups. It doesn't believe in imparting knowledge; instead, it favors implementations at the client's end, allowing for quick outcomes. Many of its clients have received business counselling from reputable organizations, but they still opted to work with Sunson Trainings because they learnt from them but did not receive the support needed to put what they learned into practice in their organizations. As a result, they view Sunson Training as a lifelong support system that will help them achieve their goals. Challenges Faced During the Journey: She was completely broken when she learned that her son had a brain tumor. She tried for nine months to save him, but it was too late. She had little hope in her life now, so to boost her confidence, she started listening to so much motivational material that eventually she began motivating others. After a while, she realized she had the ability to uplift and support others, so why not put her 13 years of education to work by assisting individuals—including business owners—in overcoming obstacles and suffering? She began coaching business owners as a result. Advice for Women Entrepreneurs: You will encounter challenges in life, and you will frequently believe that nothing is possible. Yet, you must stand up for yourself and act. One last thing that I want every young lady to know is that you should know your strengths and what your one area of expertise is so that you may use those skills to help others. As soon as you fully comprehend, practice and perfect that ability before moving on. Regular skill improvement will result in improved outcomes.

Pancake aims to include the next 29% bracket, making interior design accessible while eliminating the frustration of furniture purchasing. We not only deliver great design, but we do it 40x faster and 5x cheaper than anyone. Challenges faced during the journey: The biggest challenge has been the financial downturn that started right when we went out for our Seed Round, especially after a very successful Pre-Seed round process. Pre-Seed funding was supposed to be all destined to software development. However, the challenging times forced us to stretch our dollars to the max and not only double or runway be able to invest some money in promotion for brand positioning. Disrupting an industry by offering a service that has typically been available for the top % of the population has signified lots of questions from industry professionals, companies in the market and Venture Capitals. So being able to demonstrate the potential for growth by transitioning from relying exclusively on a DTC strategy through social media channels to B2B strategies has been an important step for the company as well. Advice for women entrepreneurs: It is okay to be scared or afraid of doing something. Use this as motivation. There's always a chance things will not go the way to plan them to go, but some chances are they will. You will never know if you don't try! Give the team the importance they deserve. Culture is key during good times but especially important during the not-so-good ones. “In times of crisis, there are two types of people: the ones that cry and the ones who sell tissues. Which one do you want to be?” – something that my co-founder's mother said to him once and we constantly remind ourselves of.
- Shubhangi Gupta: SportVot
Name: Shubhangi Gupta Business Name: SportVot Location: Mumbai, India Establishment (Year): 2019 Category/Industry: Advertising & Marketing Profession/ Specialty: Marketing Company details: SportVot is a platform that provides an online channel to live stream sports games and help discover sports talent from the grassroots of India. Over 99% of the sports matches in the world (not just India) have no form of digital/live coverage. A traditional broadcasting setup involves dependency on external service providers for expensive hardware, multiple complicated software and apps, and a special arrangement for OB vans. This makes the digitization of local games very difficult and hence has no visibility to local talent. There is a need for a cost-effective streaming platform that undertakes the needs of teams, franchises, and fans. SportVot enables streaming with the least amount of resources and has a rich layer of tools overlay to edit, analyse, and share the videos across various channels. SportVot has streamed over 25,000 sports matches so far, has featured over 135,000 athletes and has over 50M in viewership. The aim is to eventually become an end-to-end digital + physical sports platform providing athletes with better visibility and opportunities and creating a talent pathway that helps them take the next step in their careers. Unique selling proposition/ competitive advantage: The EU platforms in our space and quite a few scattered channels on Youtube have shown the demand for local sports content consumption. But the biggest challenge today is still to make broadcasting/streaming cost effective and accessible. There is already an "outside broadcast" economy existing in countries like India, Aus. Especially in in India a lot of cable operators whose businesses have now gone bust (thanks to Jio) are now venturing out into alternative businesses. With mobile internet data rates in India being at an all-time low, these operators have now resorted to youtube broadcasting as an option. There are a couple of challenges here: Discovery & generating revenue out of youtube is challenging Youtube or Facebook weren't meant for primarily streaming sports, which requires interactive scorecards, multiple video mixing, and other nuances related to a quality broadcast. This leads to them using expensive software and hardware. SportVot partners and empowers these operators with the right tools and technology that have been developed in-house to ease their operations also create a brand for themselves and generate that added revenue out from the viewership. What both of them do is just provide the platform but not the end-to-end service (which in most cases is the issue in India) also they are neglecting major stakeholders of the ecosystem in the form of these operators/local operators. This is what we believe is going to help us scale better. Challenges faced during the journey: The most difficult challenge was to scale. Acquiring mass sports properties across different cities of India has been a difficult journey. Although, our strategy of making the broadcasting setup so easy that even a young student can broadcast any game - to acquiring multiple local YouTube broadcasters by offering our broadcasting tech for free to exclusively stream on our platform, made us reach where we are standing today. Advice for women entrepreneurs: Giving up is easy. The key is to look at the long-term goal. Respect - freedom - Self Dependence

Organizations are now shifting their focus to brand-related communication. As mentioned, branding is discipline. To build it, we need patience and perseverance. In the fast-paced, instant gratification and impulsive world that we live in today, we expect the same and quick results in our branding journey. Today, clients expect a lot from digital, be it sales, lead generation, brand, or engagement. At the same time, I see the patience, consistency and budgets required to meet these expectations don’t justify it. Branding is a long-term game, and to sustain it, we need to follow its rules. While working with companies, we first educate them about our approach, educate them on the processes and why it’s important to be consistent and finally, our approach to arriving at the desired objective. Advice for women entrepreneurs: Being an entrepreneur is wearing multiple hats. I would like to urge young entrepreneurs to take ACT. In the dynamic world that we live in today, we are flooded with ideas. But taking that first step towards realizing your idea, no matter how small, is important. The first step will make all the difference. Another thing is being consistent. Entrepreneurship looks exciting because people out there see you grow. However, behind this success, there is a lot of hard work, compromises, frustrations, learnings, and so much more that moulds and blends you into a beautiful sculpture. So yes, it’s an exciting journey, and what's important is having fun and enjoying it. You don't need to look serious about working. You need to be sincere about it.

It will ask you for every sacrifice that you will proudly make, only to solve the problem! I built my first product from my living room with no investment. My second product started the similar way. The world is waiting to celebrate your hard work.
- Jani Jermans: SJ Mobilita'
Name: Jani Jermans Business Name: SJ Mobilita' Location: Bangalore, India Establishment (Year): 2017 Category/Industry: Legal & Accounting and Finance, Insurance Profession/ Specialty: HR and Legal Consultant Company details: About Ms. Jani Jermans: Ms. Jani Jermans has over 15+ years of experience in the International HR Services, Immigration and Travel field. She started her Immigration experience working at the British Deputy High Commission, Chennai and went on to lead the Global Immigration & Travel Department for various IT & FMCG Firms. Currently she is the founder of SJ Mobilita’. History: While leading the global immigration and travel in various industries, I saw there was no one single company who supported the corporate with their end-to-end requirements when they must depute employees overseas. For example, for one deployment overseas, the company must reach out to local law firms in the destination country for work permit processing, payroll companies to set up payroll, another person for audit and compliance etc. Some of the countries need local entity and labor quota to process work permit and corporate had to decline such projects as they were not aware that there are companies like ours who can support with the sponsorship where they don’t have local labor quota. Also, corporate must reach out to recruitment/staffing company to fulfil the local hires etc. So, it was a need of an hour to start a company which becomes a one stop solution for entire international requirements and that’s how SJ Mobilita’ was born in 2018. Unique selling proposition/ competitive advantage: Purpose, Vision & Goal: The purpose was to educate the corporates on the business compliance on their business travel and guide them to ensure they stay 100% compliant whether they are travelling on business trips or deputed on an international assignment on work permits. We have seen that the company getting penalized by Immigration departments like US etc for misuse of business visas as most of the companies process business visas like tourist visas and allow employees to do work (even if it’s for a shorter duration) and then they must pay a hefty fine of millions of dollars. So, it was important to bring awareness and educate the corporation not to take short cuts and stay 100% compliant. We are the only company providing end to end support for corporates for their international requirements which includes the following services on the International front: • Recruitment, • Staffing • Payroll • Immigration support for processing work permits (we can support for more than 150 countries) • Audit and compliance verification and validation • Sponsorship of work permit (if the client doesn’t have local entity in the destination country, this also depends on local country guidelines) • Consulate Interview Preparation • Guidance and support on consular documents requirements for various countries • Validation of Business Travel compliance • Support for Relocation • Support for setting up office in International locations • Legal support for any concerns in terms of local labor laws • Entire Travel Support for the company including business travel, Leadership offsites etc for both international and domestic locations, • Translation of documents in international languages • HR consulting on minimum wage policy • HR & Immigration policy guidelines • best practices, and any other service requirements for the corporate. On the Domestic side we support companies in their Recruitment, Staffing, payroll, compliance for expats employed in India, visa and travel support, FRRO Support, relocation support and any other support services. Challenges faced during the journey: There have been numerous occasions or struggles that were a learning experience for us over the years and we had to work our way through them. In one instance, we had a large client for whom we set up a full staffing implementation abscond after a month without paying anything for a month of effort for about 25 employees. It was a big setback for us as we had invested heavily in the setup and had to take the loss on ourselves. A big problem we face being a start-up is that we are competing with big and established brands in a lot of cases and must ensure that we are competitive without compromising on the quality of our offering. For example, we had to lose out on a project where we were cost-saving the client 20% of their expense, still they had to go ahead with another company just because of the brand even though their cost was way above ours. Another struggle we had initially was that when we started, we didn't have brand recognition and breaking into the market without that required a lot of effort from our side and collaboration with our clients. Once we had the first few clients’ onboard things became easier. Advice for women entrepreneurs: Dream and work hard to achieve that dream. Let no one stop you from achieving that, even if you fail, get up and try again. Never ever give up, no matter what. Once you have started focus on your product and give a quality offering, instead of focusing on growth immediately. Growth will come automatically with a quality offering. Too many companies focus on growth at the expense of a product. In addition, ensure that you never, ever compromise on your ethics and values when building up your company. This is the only thing which will guarantee your long-term success.
