Establishment (Year): 2019

Category/Industry: Health & Wellness

Profession/ Specialty: Wellbeing - Hypnotherapy

Company details:

House of Wellbeing is a leading UK digital hypnotherapy & guided meditation platform. We license our existing audios out to other partners over an agreed period of time, so they can incorporate them into their own digital solutions or apps - boosting their well-being offer quickly. We work with Virgin Atlantic, Breethe, Westfield Health, Mindvalley, Roundglass, Perkbox, Dorchester Hotel Collection, Selfridges, Global Radio, Gaia, Omnicom Media Group, Polypipe, and many more. On our digital platform and app, we host over 140+ different meditation & hypnotherapy audios to help people change the way they think and feel about an existing behaviour, belief, phobia, fear or thoughts that they no longer want or need, such as; Better Sleep, Relaxation & Calmness, Anxiety, Stress, Increase in Exercise, Cutting down on Sugar, Emotional Eating, Eating More Healthily, Positive Thinking, Self Esteem, Motivation, Insomnia, Confidence, Youth-focused audios, Depression, Losing Weight, Morbid Thoughts, Claustrophobia etc.

Unique selling proposition/ competitive advantage:

There are lots of meditation companies on the market, but they are less hypnotherapy focused. Our audios are slightly different from meditation alone because we use powerful therapeutic tools, including cognitive behavioural therapy, neuro-linguistic therapy, visualization and of course, hypnotherapy. This combination makes our audio so powerful and hugely effective at helping people change how they feel about specific issues.

Challenges faced during the journey:

The two founders Sophie Fox & Natasha Taylor are both trained hypnotherapists who met in 2005 and fast became best friends. They set up the business in their 40's whilst looking after their children. Both Sophie & Natasha have twins and 5 children in total. They worked part-time on other work - to grow House of Wellbeing until it was successful. They have never gone down the funding route, and are growing their business organically, which is always a challenge - but they are proud of how far they've come.

Advice for women entrepreneurs:

Do something you are passionate about, keep a good work/life balance, and partner with those you work well and compliment your strengths with.
