    Great Companies: How did you get your idea or concept for the business? Biswajit Dutta: Nowadays, all products and services can be found online, but there are numerous platforms available for selling these products. This is beneficial for customers as they can purchase products from different suppliers at various prices on the same platform. Additionally, suppliers can sell their products on a large platform without incurring any marketing costs. With this in mind in 2018, I decided to create a platform - TripMyBudget.com and the tagline is "Ghoomo Jee Bhar Ke"" similar to eCommerce where travel packages can be sold in the same manner from different suppliers with different price options. This way, both customers and suppliers can find a solution to their problems. The company was officially registered in 2022. Currently, we are still in the process of developing our model. LTD, is a leading travel booking portal, prioritizes its e-commerce model for booking travel packages, placing a significant emphasis on providing a seamless online experience. Our primary focus is on offering a wide range of tour packages, both domestic and international, along with additional services such as corporate bookings and hotel reservations. Biswajit Dutta: Our company, "TripMyBudget," operates as a unique E-commerce platform for selling travel packages, similar to popular platforms like Flipkart and Amazon. Unlike traditional travel agencies, our platform allows suppliers to directly interact with customers. Our primary goal is to cater to all types of customers, ensuring that their travel dreams are fulfilled within their budget constraints. Additionally, we aim to support local retail agencies and suppliers who typically have limited customers within their locality. By providing them with a larger customer base through our platform, we enable them to offer more affordable travel packages. This healthy competition among local suppliers ultimately results in cheaper packages with quality service for our customers. Great Companies: What were the struggles and challenges you faced and how did you overcome them? Biswajit Dutta: During the initial stages of my startup, I encountered numerous challenges. Firstly, I needed to assemble a competent team to execute my plans. However, since I had no income at the beginning, I couldn't afford to pay any salaries. As a result, I proposed a partnership with zero investment to some acquaintances. Fortunately, two of my friends expressed interest in joining after hearing about my plan. However, the first 5-6 months were extremely difficult as we struggled to generate income without any marketing efforts. Unfortunately, we had no investment options as we came from middle-class families and there were no investors available in our small hometown. Consequently, after 6 months, my two partners resigned and joined another company. However, after 2 years, my company experienced growth with the support of my brother and wife. Currently, we are able to sell 20-30 packages every month without any investment. I am immensely grateful to my loyal customers who have placed their trust in me and supported the growth of my company. Many of these customers have referred my company's services to others, which has greatly contributed to our success. Great Companies: How do you plan to grow in the future? What does 5 years down the line look like for TRIP MY BUDGET ABS PVT. LTD ? Biswajit Dutta: Currently, my main target is on executing my comprehensive plan. Once this is completed, I will utilize social media to initiate meetings with potential investors in order to secure funding and propel my company to the next level. I aspire for my company's services to be accessible globally within the next five years, with offices established in major cities across India and around the world. Amore Philip: Ultimately, the idea or concept for starting and launching my business came about after I was laid off from a corporate position during the 2008 economic downturn. I decided that I no longer wanted to work another job, so I contacted my network in the entertainment and fashion industry. Long story short, I started helping these entrepreneurs and small brands plan and produce social and fundraising events and film screenings. It was at the beginning of Facebook and MySpace. I started leveraging Facebook to increase event attendance and was quite successful. I would get 200 -300 to attend an event with short notice. I was then asked to help find sponsorships; I got media and product sponsors for the events, and then people started asking me to help them do the same. A few years later, I started my agency from my apartment. My big WHY was to start a business to show my then 4-year-old daughter that she had a choice in a career path that was right for her. Amore Philip: One of my most significant challenges was managing and using finances to make better business decisions. In addition, building a solid infrastructure was another big challenge. Getting this right took me years, many courses, lots of trial and error, and outrageously costly mistakes. When COVID hit, I took the time during the pandemic and focused on building my financial and internal infrastructure. That was one of the positives that came out of COVID for me. I have since implemented systems and processes that not only strengthen my infrastructure but also help to provide a better shareholder (employee, vendors) and customer experience. As a result, conglomerates and industry giants such as WPP, Publicis, or similar would want to acquire the agency. I plan to replace myself with a new CEO and focus on building international and global partnerships. Great Companies: What would it be if you had one piece of advice to someone just starting? Amore Philip: Starting a business can be an exciting and rewarding experience, but it can also be challenging and risky. Here are a few pieces of advice to keep in mind: Firstly, think about what it is that you want and the reason you are doing it. Everything will take time; don't rush things, as it leads to costly mistakes that can potentially ruin you financially, spiritually, and emotionally. Once you are clear on what you want to do, identify three key people, whether competitors, industry leaders, mentors, or organizations, and learn from them. Start with a solid business plan or roadmap, learn and understand your market as if your life depends on it, get a good accountant out of the gate (this is not an option), find a partner or strong team with similar interests and values, be adaptable, and stay focused and persistent. Remember that this is a journey, not a sprint. No matter what, quitting is not an option.

Tracy Cook felt stuck. She was unable to afford the life she wanted, and working a 9-5 made the idea of having a family feel impossible. Determined to make the life she wanted happen, she aimed to work from home, allowing her to work from anywhere and plan her day so she could have a family. In November of 2021, Tracy started Blue Beam Marketing and worked diligently while also maintaining a 9-5 job. By January, she was able to quit her 9-5 and focus on her business full-time. When she was in 5th grade, a teacher actually called her stupid in front of the whole classroom. Tracy struggled with her learning issues all the way up to college, where she scored so low in her placement that she had to start in pre-algebra. Once in college, Tracy continued to have a hard time, but she was determined. She attended tutoring sometimes 20 hours a week to comprehend certain concepts. Since then, she found the right way of studying for her. Tracy consistently placed on the dean's list almost every semester and was in multiple honor societies. She now has 5 degrees, including a master's in business. Despite facing extremely complicated subjects, including qualitative biomechanics, physics, and biochemistry, Tracy aced all of them and now runs her own successful business.
