Sanja Jovanovic: In the past, we have struggled to grow and scale as I have been offering the workshops in person and there are only so many hours in the day. In some ways, Covid 19 has presented an opportunity and perspective for how we may scale and offer our work more broadly. This has changed the way we approach coaching and our content has shifted but it should work well! We're working to overcome the very present challenges of Covid19 and will continue to be proactive and creative to come out of this struggle on top. We have built solid relationships with our clients and referral partners which has been the contributing factor to our growth and success. As a result, we've never had to spend money on advertising as our referral base has been supportive. Also have clear separation of work and life - the balance is important. For me personally, work stays in the office so that home can be the space to connect with others and manage my emotional health. This is important to me and has been a successful model.

Christopher John: This business was inspired by my father, Mr Peter and my grandfather, Mr Sandiago. My grandfather was a cleaner and the landscaper during the post-war in Singapore. It was a time when everybody was trying to survive and feed their families. My father lived in a village where everybody stick together and you see your friends and families who stay together. My grandfather would cycle around the estates of well to do would go to different places and and he would clean and maintain the plants. My father after school you would like to go down to the different places and he would help my grandfather do the sweeping and maintaining the places. After my father finished his studies and worked for a manufacturing company for almost 30 years, my father was retrenched from the company. It was a hard time for the family all of us were growing up. During the time of reflection my father at least thought about his dad and but why not do a cleaning services business so he spoke to my uncle who had experience in cleaning services and they decided to collaborate. Then Crystal maintenance private Limited started. I was a counselor for youth services agency for about 8 years. I felt called by God to serve the youth and families. During this time my dad was thinking about continuity plans and who's going to take over. We had a discussion and i decided to come to the family business and so the cleaners and their families. After 2 years my dad and I decided to start a second arm, Crystal facilities private Limited. We look into landscaping and cleaning of common areas in churches Condominiums and commercial buildings. My sister is in charge of the social emotional portion of the cleaners where she will look into the families and the needs of the staff. My brother, Charles, he will be leading the online store that launched during covid 19 pandemic. We offer sanitizing and disinfecting services for protection and prevention for offices and buildings.
