Great Companies: Please tell me something about the business and how did you come up with such an idea? Tanya Maclennan: My Husband (now ex, but still business partner) and I returned from Australia after 8 yrs. He was previously a mortgage broker and we decided to set up independently - so I got myself qualified as I had always worked within the business, just not as an advisor. Great Companies: What are the various services and products provided by your company? Tanya Maclennan: All mortgage ranges from residential to buy to let (except commercial). Protection needs associated with them.

Great Companies: Why should one choose you over others in this field? Tanya Maclennan: We are very personable and pride ourselves on delivering very honest and quality advice to our clients in order to maintain long standing trusting relationships.

Great Companies: What are the struggles and challenges you face? Tanya Maclennan: There is a vast amount of competition so generating new leads. However we have good referral business. Keeping on top of compliance, regulations and keeping up with lenders changes to their products is time consuming though a necessity. Great Companies: What do you think are the few main things which are most important for a successful business? Tanya Maclennan: Be Learning and developing. Exceeding customer expectations and providing them with the security that they are in safe hands. Communication is key and challenges advised and overcome.
