Great Companies: Why is investment planning necessary? Sudarsan S K: Investment Planning is essential to ensuring proper growth of a business and also proper management of the surplus funds. Business should plan properly as to the timing of investment in Plant & Machinery and additional staffing as part of expansion. They should have adequate assurance of generating sufficient additional revenue and profits from the investment without which the existing operations will also get weakened. If investing in outside options like shares, Debentures, Bonds etc safety and security of the funds should be ensured and they should be available for withdrawal when we deem it necessary. Investments ensure our surplus funds earn some future revenue, cover up for inflation in economy and that we have adequate funds in case of a future necessity. Individuals also should have investment planning to ensure funds for their future needs like constructing / buying a own house, buying a car, giving best education to children and funds in case of any medical emergencies in family. This can be achieved by saving a suitable amount every month from income and also taking insurances. Only surplus funds should be invested in risky options like equity to ensure security of the funds. Investment Planning help to identify how much i have to save every month to reach my financial goals for future, taking into account inflation Great Companies: Do you provide training? - Sachin Ambekar of S S Design Studio
Great Companies: Can you commence by telling a little about your business? Sachin Ambekar: We are a group of individuals from the architecture & design field, making our way to achieve a harmony between spatial planning, engineering and design which yearns for timelessness. We believe that design has the capacity to change how we perceive the world around us. We set up our own studio in 2018, but have been working before that, gathering experience since 2014 in the field of design with practical and academic projects linked to our profile. We like to take things one day at a time, so to speak, as that keeps us to keep things real for everyday design challenges. Great Companies:  How do you provide such quality services to your clients? Is it because of your team or your methods? Sachin Ambekar: Architectural design is very close to the role of a director in film making actually. Just like a director we have to deal with budgets, timeline, more so we have to keep the overall vision of the project intact. Only difference is the film is for a much larger audience and our projects are for a single entity(the client). Once that is met and the client is happy, in the process you've served the client well. And the process involves casting of your own team to create everyday and work around a narrative. Great Companies:  How are you able to build a "perspective for your clients"? Sachin Ambekar: We always believe that it is important to create something which is for the "greater good", so to speak. But not necessarily a client might see from a designer's POV always. Hence we constantly try to educate our client as well, rather than imposing our choices of materials/ forms for a specific design brief. And that's why design has always been a collaborative process, as it is not only for designers satisfaction but also for a client by end of the day. And as one of my mentors Puran Kumar once said, "Good thing about perspective is that it can be changed". We believe in that. That's why we believe in convincing a client as opposed to just dropping ideas on them with no context or thought as to how we have arrived at the design conclusion. Great Companies:   Why should any potential client choose you ? Sachin Ambekar: Choosing a designer for a project is based on several aspects, sometimes cursory or with in-depth research. With the current scenario, there are several architects and interior designers(established as well as emerging) in the field, with outputs both on high-end and low cost spectrum. But the crux of design is not just the outcome, but the process itself. As by end of the project if the clients, craftspeople, designers have not enjoyed any part of the process, then somehow the collaboration was a failure even if it gave stark output. Moreover, we strive for design clarity and meeting deadlines more than anything in the process, as that is one of the biggest value additions for you as a designer in the project. Because one key offering apart from deliverables, is your own time to the client, which is what designers are hired for apart from their expertise in the subject. And that is what we believe is the pinnacle of the reason why our clients have got their projects designed by us, consecutively at times. Great Companies:  How do you plan to improve and increase your market reach? Sachin Ambekar: There are companies(not necessarily design oriented) which believe that - 90% of the work is to come up with an idea, that is the ultimate failure on a longer run, I believe. As what matters is the process. And with any process, there is always a room for doubt or to improve. Improvement is not only vital for any established or new company for a small span of time, but it should be a reiterating exercise that can drive the business to a better reach. In this time of lockdown, now more than ever we need to reinforce our relations with current clients and touch base with the team. In order to keep the business open for a potential clientele, social media is used at its peak right now, and that is a correct approach. Professions of the likes of doctors/ lawyers, by law we architects also cannot advertise, leaving the only way to grow business is meeting new people, which can be powered with social media apart from open design discussions on online platforms.
- Harshit Patwari of Studio ID LLP
Great Companies: What are the various services and products that you provide? Harshit Patwari: We provide Branding solutions,Signage and Graphics for the facilities and Brand Implementation programs. Great Companies: How do you ensure the efficiency of your work? Harshit Patwari: We believe in providing solutions to our clients by adding value to their brand. We are very sensitive about using their brand identity in their own interests. By doing so we become the brand custodians for our customers and ensure efficiency prevails. We strongly believe efficiency comes once you have ownership. Great Companies: Why do your customers select you over your competitors? Harshit Patwari: We are called as Brand Custodians which gives us an edge when we handle our customer's brand. We strongly believe that a brand is a matter of reputation to our customers and we become very fragile while handling the same. This builds trust in our customers where we partner in their growth than just being a vendor or service provider. Great Companies: What are the major issues faced while running this business? Harshit Patwari: Issues are a part and parcel of business. To run a strong and successful business if you do not have any issues then its plain bread and butter. Plain bread and butter is good but you need spice in life to taste a greater good. In general highly skilled people are limited in this field and this leads to a shortage in delivering what we promise. Hence this is a major issue which is faced while running this business.  Great Companies: What led you to this field? Harshit Patwari: I was a Cloth merchant earlier and was doing good in that field. When i realized that the brand companies where not focusing more on their brand and relayed only on mouth 2 mouth advertisement - i realized a big vacuum in this space. Even after advertisement when they gave very less detail on their brand identity thats where I found a gap and wanted to plug it by realizing the importance of brand and placing Brand to the level of reputation.

Guruprasad G: As an organization we are pretty young but our partners carry a cumulative experience of over 40 years into the field of consulting which has leveraged us to stand in good stead both on technical competence and quality of service. Having said that our main attractions are holistic advisory, Â âtake that extra mileâ approach to achieve client delight. The most important of all is our firm culture of providing enough freedom and opportunity to our employees to explore their faculties to the fullest and we follow this in letter and in spirit. Great Companies:Â How do you pledge that your clients will be 100% satisfied? Guruprasad G: We firmly believe in âWalk the Talkâ philosophy and are fortunate that our clients have recognized this aspect of ours and acknowledged. Guruprasad G: Â We operate with a confidentiality and non-disclosure policy in place and ensure employees are made well aware of data security measures. Great Companies:Â Do you provide training? Guruprasad G: Yes we do and each partner works closely with the employees so that they advance from experiences and also contribute independently on new assignments. Great Companies:Â What was the reason for beginning Pracctive even when there were many established competitors in the field? Guruprasad G: Our aim of banding together under the banner of Pracctive was to provide holistic and pragmatic solution-oriented consulting services. While it is a known fact that consulting business is all about efficient decision making on complex subjects, there appears to be a slack and could be reduced to mere facilitation in most cases. We intend to bridge that gap. My take on the second part of your question about existence of established competitors is - I firmly believe as long as we stay relevant to clients by addressing their pain points in finance and tax sphere, demonstrate technical problem-solving competency, be nimble-footed in adopting technology and come up with innovative solutions, we would certainly get our share of the pie. - Ridhi Gupta- Founder & Director of Utsaah Learning Private Limited
Great Companies:  Can you commence by telling a little about your organisation? Ridhi Gupta: Yeah, So, Utsaah was founded 3 years back when two colleagues, who were mothers too realised a common problem that they were not getting good instructors to conduct classes for their respective kids. They kept talking about it and recognising how important it is for the children to get exposed to such art forms and what role it plays in the holistic development of children, how it makes them aware of their environmental and societal responsibilities, followed by thorough research is where Utsaah was incorporated.. Utsaah was founded to make learning an enjoyable and enriching process for the children aged between 5 & 14 through Performing Arts with the focus on bringing back the Teacher - Pupil legacy to transfer knowledge, a never ending learning continuum to create Learners for Life. Manifestation of such learning will lay the foundation, empowering children for a methodical approach to their lives. Revival of credible age old art forms and artistes with traditional learning methodologies is the focus too. We believe in creating an environment of learning which is collaborative and not competitive. We associate with various schools and conduct training programs in art forms like theatre, cooking & baking, Kalari Payattu, varied dance forms, musical instruments, singing and many more. Great Companies:  How do you provide such quality services to your clients? Is it because of your team or your methods? Ridhi Gupta:  Both. These are infact linked with each other. This domain of performing arts is highly unorganised. Our strength lies in our team and the results are best achieved or you can scale up when we have well defined and uniform processes in place. UTSAAH stands for United Team Solely Associated for Arts and Happiness. One can have a great team but if there is no structured approach, it gets you nowhere. Similarly, one can have a great vision but if the team isnât right, itâs all in vain. We strive to provide access to consistent quality training in arts during the early developmental years by conducting workshops which are facilitated by trainers who follow a core curriculum curated by accomplished artists, reports are sent to parents periodically, children are given ample chances to perform both within and out of school premises. Great Companies:  As per the name "UTSAAH", how are you able to bring motivation among the youth and your clientele? Ridhi Gupta:  Ah, thatâs the lifeline of our Organisation. Children are the most valuable resource & the best hope for the future. Creative activities are the fundamental building blocks of development. We work with children particularly from the age group of 5 to 14 and our belief in âHappier minds are more productiveâ always keep us rolling initiatives which make our children stand out tall, for instance we call our children and instructors as HEARTISTs. A formal launch was done by associating with an RJ from FM Radio. Green Child reflects: Iâm Receptive Red Child reflects:  Iâm passionate Blue Child reflects: Iâm Confident We start our class with a pledge which instils Utsaah amongst the children and a feeling that YES, WE ARE HAPPY ARTISTS, WE ARE HEARTISTS. Also, identification of Talent in kids and grooming them further via a structured mechanism, nurturing the talent to create Masters all such initiatives keep the Utsaah of the children soaring high. Some such special value adds are: Utsaah Connect: Utsaah will facilitate complimentary interactive workshops in the domains varying from Financial prudence to public speaking to Media Literacy Utsaah Limelight: Utsaah introduces the Heartists to niche art forms & create an avenue for them to interact with the acclaimed artist. Saga: The Narratives â The Year Book , published in e-form and circulated among parents Coming to the clientele which is schools in this case, the kind of schools we work with either ensure Performing Arts is part of Schoolâs curriculum or does not treat it as Extra- curricular activity but Co- curricular / Co- Scholastic. They want the right associates, where they do what they are best at and outsource their PA programs to us. We have become their THINK TANKS for their Performing Arts related programs. Trust me, the Academic Director of one of the best CBSE school of Karnataka, calls us to check what Utsaah can showcase on special programs within their school and on special felicitation programs too ď Raising balanced and happy children with strong character has been the fundamental premise on which schools join hands with us. Some of the direct benefits to them are as follows: ⢠School introduces an array of Performing Arts programs or Hobby Clubs, a one stop associate for all. ⢠Preparing the students for competitions. ⢠International Certifications in some of the courses run by us. ⢠Customised annual presentation towards the end of the academic session. ⢠Showcase on special occasions like Childrenâs Day , Independence Day etc by students of Hobby Clubs ⢠Thankful Parents. Great Companies: Why should the customers choose you ? Ridhi Gupta:  Because of our structured approach and delivering more than committed. ďˇ Teachers: Generally, schools face the problem of undisciplined, takes uninformed leaves, lack of professionalism. However we provide them well trained and professional instructors to execute the syllabus in the school. Since we have a big pool of instructors, we have the substitute teacher to take case ensuring children do not lose the learning time. ďˇ Curriculum: The curriculum is structured and executed in an organized manner that is in line with the school schedule and functions. ďˇ Completion Certificate: Students who successfully complete the course as per curriculum, are issued a completion certificate. ďˇ Recital/Performance/Exhibition: Students will be prepared for a performance towards the end of the academic year.
