Great Companies: How did you get your idea or concept for the business? Abhay Gupta: Having spent two plus decades in the formative years of Indiaâs fashion & luxury retail, I was aware of the challenges, shortcomings and limitations of these businesses from every angle. As a fresh entrant or wanting to enter the Indian market kind of brand, one could find strategy easily, but the same implementable? Did it take into account ground realities? Did it make a perfect match between the global brands vision and local expectations from the brand? Will the strategy advisor help the brand along the entire value chain of launch or just stop short of strategy? These and similar questions were then being faced by any new entrant into Indian retail scenario. Hence the idea of creating a 360 degree solution germinated in my mind. Having faced most of these challenges myself as a business leader bringing in global luxury brands, I saw the potential pain points of other fellow entrepreneurs and ventured to create a holistic service based organisation in end 2011. Great Companies: What are the various Services provided by Luxury Connect LLP Abhay Gupta: As I said above, we focused on the challenges as opportunities. Luxury connect was perceived to service the entire value chain of requirements: Strategy â compliance and talent. Today we offer services ranging from any kind of business advisory and strategic management services to brands ranging from entry strategy, partner search, retail location planning, branding and marketing; supply chain management, compliance management and last but not the least training, sourcing and recruitment of the correct and most suited talent for the brand. Great Companies: What makes Luxury Connect LLP different from hundreds of other Training and Consulting firms? Abhay Gupta: We are proudly positioned as Indiaâs first and only Luxury Business School. Through a unique and extensive survey titled âStatus on Indiaâs luxury talentâ, we understood the shortcomings of the existing talent, expectations of from the future talent and lack of professional expertise as voiced by a luxury brands India partner and or the principal owner based overseas. A deep dive into the existing talent and staff at luxury brands also made us realise their own thoughts on the shortcomings they believed they faced and was preventing them in career progression. Basis these findings, we developed a three phased approach and engaged the best global B school for luxury management to help build the structure, content and pedagogy. Not wanting to cut corners, we also invited Italian professors to come and deliver lectures and also train our teachers. SDA Bocconi, the then leader of luxury brand management was the chosen expensive but best knowledge provider. The journey since then has been difficult and tough but surely satisfying and very rewarding. Great Companies: What are the struggles and challenges you face? Abhay Gupta: Like any other start up, we too faced several challenges. Despite having been from the luxury trade, the concept and I as an individual needed to re-prove myself. Earlier one is known because of the brand he represents and the respect one daws is because of his position and brand. Once on your own, you need to prove your capability once again. We had a series of challenges in every vertical offering of our venture. For LCBS, itâs three phases had three different set of target groups. The most challenging one was the full time student community. This because of several reasons â a new offering, a new educational category, a new industry and a new school. For a parent who is risk averse by basic nature, all these are taboo and one does not want to venture into a risky proposition for their wards futures. With patience, commitment, no compromise and a long term vision, we built the brand first. Business followed. Great Companies: How do you plan to grow in the future? What does 5 years down the line look like for Luxury Connect LLP? Abhay Gupta: We have been constantly innovating, expanding, adding new offerings to remain relevant to the trade. Our students are well sought for and get placed even while still in the final semester. We brought in a hybrid offering last year during the pandemic and expanded our reach to smaller towns using technology as a base. Students from as far away places like Kota, Hubli, Goa, Kashmir, Vijaywada, Telengana, Azamgarh, Cochin etc have enrolled for on line or on campus options. We plan to take this forward by opening up digital campuses all over the country and hep students make a career in luxury. Expression of interests received are being carefully evaluated for a good fitment into our vision. We will also expand by offering sectoral specialisations in real estate, beauty & skincare, health & fitness, travel retail, automobiles and digital retail. Done in a gradual manner, the potential of such offerings is tremendous at all levels of skill sets. Great Companies: If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be? Abhay Gupta: Passion over profit has to be the key mantra. If you establish a track of commitment, results and mini success mile stones, business & profits will follow. Entrepreneurship is like driving in the fog. Even if you know the destination, the path gets hazy. The idea is to drive every few meters with clarity and drive on till you reach your end destination. www.luxuryconnect.in www.lcbs.edu.in Abhay Gupta : www.abhaygupta.in
- Mahesh Chikane, Founder at The Test Tribe
Great Companies: How did you get your idea or concept for the business? Mahesh Chikane: It was a Community idea rather than a Business idea actually. For years I was watching the passive Software Quality Community space in Mumbai. After waiting for all those years for someone else to start some initiative, say at least a meetup group where we can network, we finally took the onus to create the needed platform ourselves. The beginning was pretty simple on paper, as all we had planned to do first, was to repeat what we were doing internally in our Company. When I say we, it is Me and few more passionate folks from my team, by the way, who always believed in going the extra mile and getting people together for a larger cause. Coming back to the answer, as the saying "Necessity is the mother of Invention" goes, it was true in our case as well. The need for Community was the origin of our idea and whatever followed after that all these years. Back in 2018, we started with Meetup and a Hackathon each in Mumbai and there was no turning back from there. So many Testing Professional from across India approached us and told they also want similar things in their City. As of now, we have done 125+ Events which not only covers all the offline Meetups, Hackathons, Workshops we did across 10+ Cities in India but also included Virtual Events like Conferences, Webinars, AMAs, etc. which saw an audience from 95+ Countries. Great Companies: What are the various Services provided by The Test Tribe Mahesh Chikane: We mainly provide Community services to the Software Testers across the Globe, which includes platforms for them to Collaborate, Learn and Grow, and also different types of training which we facilitate via our Events. We are also connecting the Corporate with Community and creating several win-win possibilities for both of them. For example, Jobs demand and supply, or a Beta Testing Requirement. We are becoming a bridge and connecting them on several use-cases. We are soon launching many new initiatives with TTT 2.0 launch. To list a few, our services will include: Beta Testing Hiring Assistance Corporate/Campus Training Exclusive Events Management Advertising Services to Testing Companies Jobs services to both Employers and Candidates Mentorship Programs Great Companies: What makes The Test Tribe different from many other Software Testers communities/firms? Mahesh Chikane: I think it is two things. One is the 'sense of belonging' our 25000+ members experience with our Community, and two, the innovative things we do. TestFlix for that matter, or TestAway, or FailQonf. We dared to do what very few may have done in past and many such small experiments continue to happen on a frequent basis. Great Companies: What are the struggles and challenges you face? Mahesh Chikane: Our research says, there would be around 6.4 Million Software Quality Professionals in the World. A lot of these are sitting in the big MNCs, the majority of them unaware of the fact that there are communities out there which if they participate in can benefit them a lot. One of our biggest challenges is reaching these unaware Testers, bust in their own caves. The other important challenge would be to help the Decision Makers or Stakeholders in the IT companies understand our craft and not get carried away by Marketing campaigns that promise them that AI, ML, Automation, and whatnot, will solve their problem of 'Shipping Quality Products Faster'. We are trying our best to get the facts out through our members in their companies on why Companies need good thinking 'Software Testing' brains with the right set of tools to achieve what they want. Companies who see Testing as an Expense rather than an Investment are tough to convince and may only have to learn it the hard way. Great Companies: How do you plan to grow in the future? What does 5 years down the line look like for The Test Tribe? Mahesh Chikane: 5 years down the line we would still love to be known for innovation and a Sense of Belonging. And additionally for a lot of initiatives which will make the life of these 6 Million plus professionals easy while helping the Software Companies achieve their Quality related goals. We are already Asia's largest Software Testing Community and while we do not run after the scale and that is rather a side-effect, we would surely be a global, vibrant, and most inclusive Community 5 years down the line. Expect the bridge between Corporate and Community also to widen ten folds. Great Companies: If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be? Mahesh Chikane: If there has to be just one, it would be: Create Value and try to Create Value at Scale. If I can share a few more that are equally important, those would be: While you create value, be empathetic towards your Members, Audiences, and Customers. Don't get stuck into the Copy game, dare to experiment and create your identity. Website : www.thetesttribe.com

- Tanuj Shah and Anuj Shah, Cofounder at ipassio
Great Companies: How did you get your idea or concept for the business? Tanuj Shah: Like many, I personally faced challenges while searching for the right teacher for my hobby. The idea began building when I observed a similar kind of restraint even other hobby learners faced locally and even on a global level. Many faced difficulties including loss of time because of travel, lack of attention from the instructor due to group tutoring, not the right match for the learner, and so on. While brainstorming casually on what could be the solution, I realised that technology could be used here to solve the issue of time and distance and on top of it getting individual, 1-on-1 attention from a tutor - fits perfectly well and solves the challenge to a great extent. I knew that this was the right way ahead to pick up anything, especially a hobby. Receiving that attention, while passionately learning, at the comfort of oneâs home or chosen surrounding - is what we ideated. Anuj Shah: Personally, I didn't find teachers locally who were exclusively invested in their student's growth and that's when that initial thought seeded in. I wasn't able to find the right teacher in a jiffy - there was a huge gap. There was an immediate need to procure veterans who were not only seasoned professionals but also excellent educators. This led to the gradual ideation of ipassio with Tanuj - harmless discussions on why there was no source of something like this grew into an e-learning platform for hobbies that champion the concept of online live 1-on-1 learning. Great Companies: What are the various services provided by ipassio? Anuj Shah: Every aspect that teachers need to provide high-quality training to students is already taken care of, on ipassio. This includes student enrolment, course structure, class strength, fee collection, fee disbursal and several others. This apart, we help teachers in building their course content and material, we run marketing efforts to drive high quality students to their courses and also pre-screen students to assess their genuine interest. Further, sustained guidance from our teachers after classes, ensures that the enrolled students are not consumed by their questions. Regular assessment and feedback by the teacher guarantee that every effort of the student is accounted for. Tanuj Shah: We are building towards being a technologically advanced and credible platform for e-learning. ipassio is a user-friendly, live learning platform for hobbies. It is one that fills the gap that exists for students in finding experienced, knowledgeable teachers. The platform enables acclaimed, veteran teachers with proficient technology support for courses and student management. This ensures a smooth user experience for both students and teachers. Students have a lot of advantages as they learn what they want, from the best in the field. They are at liberty to choose from a wide selection of distinctly-designed courses. The maximum strength of a class is limited to a minimal number. This safeguards them from being attention deficit. This means that each student gets individual attention from the teacher at all times. Great Companies: What makes ipassio different from hundreds of other hobby Classes? Tanuj Shah: ipassio is an e-learning platform, yes - but it is exclusively for hobbies. It champions that inspiration, that flame that a learner carries within, to pursue what they love. We differ from others as we drive towards that passion. The term âipassioâ is keyed by Anuj and me - as the letter âiâ in the brand name signifies learners discovering their abilities whereas the latter bit of the name - âpassioâ - is the Latin term for âpassionâ - something that everyone associated with the platform is - from our team to the registered teachers and enrolled learners. Anuj Shah: Our hashtag #Pickitupagain suggests how any individual could go back out there and pick that hobby or activity that they left behind in the process of things. That individual could be from any age group, background, or country - it doesnât matter! Our diversity in terms of hobbies and interests is probably what makes us stand apart from our competitors. We also helped in bridging the gap between experienced, seasoned teachers and avid learners. Great Companies: What are the struggles and challenges you face? Anuj Shah: Initially, we had some challenges in convincing highly acclaimed and skillful teachers to join our platform. This was because the platform was new and it was the first online, live 1-on-1 teaching platform for hobbies in India. Tanuj Shah: Hiring experienced and seasoned professionals to work with us at the start was another hurdle that we faced. As beginners, it was tough to get people on board without a tag. We did work with some talented freelancers, but that never worked out for the long-term as our company was not their sole priority. Eventually, we did find good employees who trusted the product and hopped in on this journey - and they're still with us today, witnessing the growth of our platform, firsthand. Great Companies: How do you plan to grow in the future? What do 5 years down the line look like for ipassio? Tanuj Shah: We plan to expand globally as an e-learning website, to be known worldwide as the go-to platform for hobbies. This has been our ongoing, long-term aim from the start and we are working towards securing that goal as fast as possible. Anuj Shah: Apart from being a globally known source for pursuing hobbies, we are also working towards securing some of the best teachers across genres, from all over the world. This is with the aim, that learners are assured of the quality of knowledge they receive at ipassio. Their source of learning will always be the best and will remain exclusive to them only. Great Companies: If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting, what would it be? Tanuj Shah: There are three key points needed to make sure youâre on the right path as an entrepreneur in the beginning. These are, scalability of your business, technology performance i.e. how well is your system architected and optimised to ensure great performance, and lastly, user experience i.e. always design the experience keeping your usersâ needs and requirements in mind. If these three pointers are in place from the start of the venture, it'll head in the right direction. Anuj Shah: Stay determined while starting because as an entrepreneur, one has to be prepared for all the hypothetical challenges with real solutions. Always remember that the consumerâs win is our win, so itâs important to ensure a good customer experience from the start. In the meantime, a constant interaction with your users will help you learn a lot about them and what challenges they face in using your platform. This leads to creating a useful set of features that serve them the best, in the best ways.
- Priya Nigam, CEO at Veda Informatics Pvt Ltd
Great Companies: How did you get your idea or concept for the business? Priya Nigam: The question reminds me of something Jeff Bezos said - âThere will always be serendipity involved in discoveryâ. Thatâs because I didnât really get the idea of the business. I just happened to be at the right place, at the right time. A US-based company was looking to set up a content team in India, for reporting on the stock markets of the US and Europe. They contacted to hire me to manage the team. When I heard the idea, I was completely bought into it and offered to set up my own team and for them to outsource the work to us. So, the journey began with a 4-member team of writers, working from home in India. This was in 2002, a time when content creation and management was not outsourced to India. Great Companies: What are the various Services provided by Veda Informatics Pvt Ltd? Priya Nigam: While content remains our core competency, we have four verticals now â content development, web and graphic design, website development and online marketing. Weâre best at B2B marketing and specialize in solutions for companies in the finance and technology sectors. Most of our clients are based in the US and Europe, while some are Indian companies. Great Companies: What makes Veda Informatics different from hundreds of other Content Marketing firms? Priya Nigam: First, weâve been around for almost two decades. So, we have the experience and knowledge. Second is our focus on forging long-term relationships. This goes for clients (our oldest client has been with us for 14+ years) as well as for the team (some members have been with us for over a decade). These long-term relationships provide a strong foundation for us, seeing us through good and bad times. Of course, the basis of any relationship is trust. Weâre earned that by providing high-quality services, consistently. Thatâs the reason we donât lose clients despite the vast changes in content marketing trends over the years. Iâve heard companies say they go the extra mile. When we partner with our clients, we donât even count the miles! Weâve stood by colleagues and clients through the 2008 financial crisis and are doing the same now, during the pandemic. Great Companies: What are the struggles and challenges you face? Priya Nigam: Over 70% of marketers today are actively investing in content marketing. So, thereâs stiff competition â for getting new clients as well as gaining visibility online for the companies we serve. The other challenge is identifying the right talent when we need it. The talent pool of good content marketers in India is still quite small. We invest a lot in training, but itâs tough to access values like commitment to quality and attention to detail at the hiring stage. The pandemic also presented some challenges in coordinating with a remote team. Although our processes were cloud based even before the pandemic, coordination started taking too long. Moreover, human interactions, like chats during coffee breaks, completely disappeared. At the same time, we have been incredibly lucky, as the team came together to ensure high-quality deliveries despite covid-19 infections, distractions at home, and the stress caused by uncertainty. Great Companies: How do you plan to grow in the future? What does 5 years down the line look like for Veda Informatics? Priya Nigam: : The pandemic has resulted in a secular shift in consumer behavior to online solutions, which has made it even more important for companies to have a strong online presence. At the same time, companies need unique solutions to cater to more demanding customers. Over the next 5 years, we aim to become a leading content marketing company that is known for its agility and reliability. We would be exploring new channels as this happens. We also plan to create proprietary online platforms to further the brand. Great Companies: If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be? Opportunity knocks in different ways. Sometimes itâs so soft that itâs barely audible. At times, it knocks for just a fleeting moment, such that if you stop to consider possibilities before responding, itâs gone. Sometimes it comes disguised as a challenge or even as a failure. My advice is to be mindful of these knocks. And keep the door (and mind) open! - Priya Nigam Website : https://www.vedainformatics.com/
- Amol Anand, CoFounder at Loom Solar Pvt Ltd
Great Companies: How did you get your idea or concept for the business? Amol Anand : During the job at Airtel, I realized to become financial independent by 40 age. So I used to look around and think. Can I be financial Independent working as employee and answer was âNoâ. So l looked for many earning opportunity like share market, real estate, business and many more. Later on I found business could be the option as many people who are rich belong to business community. So I started searching many kinds of business and renewable energy business clicked me as it was futuristic product. There was no enough awareness among the people. Again, we went in detail and figured it out what business in renewable energy so we choose solar energy and the simple reason was it was a necessity based product and not luxury. It mean every one need electricity all time at affordable cost. Other reason was majority of the people in this industry was working for government and no one was focusing to home owners. So we focused on residential home owners, I had only savings from my job.So I created a website www.loomsolar.com with the help of my brother. We were surprised to know that this product was so impactful that it gives direct benefits to ordinary family in saving of electricity bills and offering 24x7 electricity but not even a single company was providing this solutions to residential. Great Companies: What are the various product and services provided by Loom Solar Amol Anand : Loom Solar is manufacturer of mono crystalline solar panel and lithium battery. Besides, Loom Solar offers complete solution to home owners from buying to installations: These are below services we offer to our customers: 1. Gradually, we build community of those customer and grow with the help of word of mouth marketing. Loom Solar is component manufacturer however we ensure complete solutions to our customer from buying product to installations to services. Therefore, our repeat customer share is 40%. Great Companies: What are the struggles and challenges you face? Amol Anand : 1. Trust : For new brand, building a trust is very difficult, even product quality and services are excellent still its difficult to reach out to all needy people. You donât have enough money and resources to reach all people. So it becomes gradual process and with the help of word of mouth it grows 2. Manpower: Getting a talented manpower is very difficult as we canât offer handsome salary and kind of MNC environment so we have to rely on our average manpower and we train them to fulfill customer needs. 3. Brand Awareness: Building new product with new brand again become very difficult as customer donât easily trust on product. We all know solar is reliable and sustainable energy but how many people are aware about this great energy. So we offer multiple channels to educate to customer about this energy. 4. Credit from Suppliers: Since our brand is new and our product is new and also we are new in the industry so no one trust in early days. So it becomes challenging to get material on credit so working capital block up-to 90 days. 5. Manual Process: Building automated system takes time and also huge cost. So we rely on manual process for long time and therefore, we face many manual errors. Great Companies: How do you plan to grow in the future? What does 5 years down the line look like for Loom Solar? Amol Anand : We aspire to become Indiaâs largest solar company by creating awareness about solar energy and launching various solutions using lithium batteries and solar panels Great Companies: If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be? Amol Anand : My Message to all young students are just do your hard work as there is no substitute of hard work, if you do it continuously with 100% effort you will get your award. - Jagdish Acharya, Founder at Cut The Crap
Great Companies: How did you get your idea or concept for the business? Jagdish Acharya: I was the head of strategic planning at my previous agency before I switched to creative. The agency structure mandated that I had to choose between the two hats. I realized I am a combo deal that can be best served only if I owned the eatery. Great Companies: What are the various Services provided by Cut The Crap Jagdish Acharya: Strategy, creative and design for brand building Great Companies: What makes Cut The Crap different from hundreds of other Advertising firms? Jagdish Acharya: For a client, an agency can only be as good as the team that works on their brands. In most agencies, the senior resources tend to be preoccupied with business goals. Cut The Crap is a bootstrapped proprietary agency with no financial compulsions. Therefore, by working hands-on we are able to offer the equivalence of a team led by both the national creative head and the national strategy head, for the small and medium brands that would otherwise be handled by junior teams in other agencies. To sustain this differentiator we have shied away from investment offers made by clients and private equity firms. Great Companies: What are the struggles and challenges you face? Jagdish Acharya: Our differentiator best appeals to mid-scale and niche brands/clients who have moderate media spends. The agency work therefore does not get high exposure. A lot of good work happens locally - we have built a cement brand in the north-east and Agarbatti brands in Odisha and Karnataka, but this work has gone unnoticed in the rest of the country. Also, relying on credentials instead of pitching has its limitations when it comes to acquiring new business. Great Companies: How do you plan to grow in the future? What does 5 years down the line look like for Cut The Crap? Jagdish Acharya: We shall continue to be credential driven. Our goal is to be a coveted agency known for result oriented work and value-based pricing, a premium brand in a commodity market. Great Companies: If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be? Jagdish Acharya: Chase goals in whose journey you can enjoy the everyday routine
- Dr. Madana Kumar,PhD, Cofounder at Leadyne Organisation Builders Pvt Ltd
Great Companies: How did you get your idea or concept for the business? Dr. Madana Kumar, PhD: John Maxwell said âEverything rises and falls on Leadershipâ. We continuously see several organisations suffer due to bad leadership. We have seen maniacal focus on revenue and profit destroying organisations in the long run. We see employees and ex-employees talking ill of companies that practice the traditional command and control type of leadership. On the other hand we see organisations that implement employee first philosophy, thrive in the long run and become gems in corporate world. We have seen that it is not the lack of knowledge about this fact that prevents organisations embracing more employee friendly philosophy. It is the fears, it is the lack of resources on âhowâ that makes organisations reluctant to look at alternative leadership philosophies. We saw an opportunity in this , and decided to help organisations build themselves up, by addressing the âhowâ of Servant Leadership in a practical and personal manner. Great Companies: What are the various services provided by Leadyne Organisation Builders Dr. Madana Kumar, PhD: Our flagship offering is around Servant Leadership. We offer it under the brand name of S.L.A.M (Servant Leadership in Action for Momentum). This includes 360 degree assessments, workshops, coaching support, Advanced Goal setting exercises to align individual goals with organisational goals and certifications, all centred around the concept and philosophy of Servant Leadership. We also offer digital self-learning resources for Servant Leadership, in form of interactive videos , simulations and webinars to those who are yet to take up formal leadership roles. Entrepreneurship is our second vertical. We offer Entrepreneurship support through workshops, coaching and handholding to budding entrepreneurs. This vertical also addresses large corporates to build Entrepreneurial mindset in their employees to help them experience âThe Magic of 1000 ownersâ. Leadership Coaching is our third vertical, and we offer one-on-one coaching to leaders to help with their personal and organisational growth. Great Companies: What makes Leadyne Organisation Builders different from hundreds of other Leadership Consulting firms? Dr. Madana Kumar, PhD: Excellent question. Leadyne is a group of Subject Matter Experts and Thought leaders in their field, and they bring the expertise based on their personal experience to the clients. We do not act as an aggregator of consultants and facilitators who can dish out any and everything. Each of our verticals is headed by thought leaders in the topic. For example, the Servant Leadership Vertical is headed by me. I am a PhD in Servant Leadership and have spent 4 decades in the industry understanding the leadership practices of global corporates, and implementing Servant Leadership to create huge business impact in organisations. Our Entrepreneurship vertical is headed by a Thought leader on the topic whose book âThe Entrepreneurial DNAâ was named by Entrepreneur Magazine, USA as one of top business books to read in 2014. His speeches on this topic are in various TEDx channels. Our Leadership Coaching practice is led by someone who advices UK government on some strategic matters. Apart from this thought leadership that we bring to the table, our programs are proven to be Personal : Because it anchors on a 360 degree assessment. Practical: Because it provides a practice guide to participants Enduring: Because it is supported by coaching support Impactful: Because it gets aligned to Organisational Goals through personal transformation Great Companies: What are the struggles and challenges you face? Dr. Madana Kumar, PhD: Servant Leadership is often seen as an oxymoron. Breaking that myth and getting organisations to look at this concept is the first challenge. Then there are several other myths about Servant Leadership. They become a mental block for several organisations to invest in implementing this model. Great Companies: How do you plan to grow in the future? What does 5 years down the line look like for Leadyne Organisation Builders? Dr. Madana Kumar, PhD: We will focus on significantly improving our credibility as a thought leader in the topic of Servant Leadership. This will be achieved through direct contacts and social media presence. We will invest in measuring the business impact of our interventions and craft success stories that will influence the thinking process of leaders in âfence-sittingâ organisations. We will enhance our scope and reach through a network of Certified Champions. We will partner with Edutech start-ups who are brought into this concept in digitising our content and make them available over several platforms thus encouraging self-learning and exponentially increasing our reach. We will partner with universities to include Servant Leadership in their curriculum. Five years down the line, we will be known as the company that pioneered a Servant Leadership revolution in organisations. That is the only legacy we want to leave. Great Companies: If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be? Dr. Madana Kumar, PhD: Follow your passion, but make sure that your passion is not for your benefit alone. Follow a passion that adds value to you as well as to others. This is what we call being significant. Do not chase success alone, but pursue significance.
- Amit Vachhar, MD at Elegant Infotech
Great Companies: How did you get your idea or concept for the business? Amit Vachhar: Previously Elegant Infotech was a Partner at IBM for providing their Ebusiness Courses. With the 9/11 happening, the number of people going to US went down drastically. Meanwhile, we got an opportunity from a friend in London about developing a website for someone in Germany. This was way back in 2003. We delivered that and noticed the potential for that. Once we got some clients in UK , the word of mouth marketing helped us develop further. Great Companies: What are the various Services provided by Elegant Infotech Amit Vachhar: We have a range of services that we offer starting from Web Development in Ecommerce, Static sites, Search Engine Optimization for Organic Google Listings, App Development and handling Amazon. We work in platforms like Magento, WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, Big OS Commerce, Bootstrap, Laravel and Angular to name a few. Great Companies: What makes Elegant Infotech different from hundreds of other Web Development and Digital firms? Amit Vachhar: The most important differentiating factor would be our personal touch with every client and the proactive approach to every client problem. We constantly give our inputs and feedback to give the very best to the client for their investment. We believe in making Lifelong Relationships and not into One time Money Making. Last but not the least , we have one of the most competitive pricing all around. Great Companies: What are the struggles and challenges you face? Shivansh Sethi: Failure is the key to success, either you succeed else you learn from the journey & exp.You WILL fail. Success will not look like what you have in mind if you donât fail miserably. My advice to the young blood, is rather than doing MBA go do a Startup. No formal education could teach you entrepreneurship, rather youâll also make some money if everything goes well.
