Great Companies: How did you get your idea or concept for the business? Meenali Shankar Joshi: I was overweight and was struggling to lose weight being overweight is very painful found a few methods but none of them were affordable and manageable for a long time. I started understanding the science behind nutrition science and started working on my fat loss journey with help of a few coaches and Mentors what I found through my experience most of the time is we actually don’t know do we really want to lose weight and be overweight is very painful. It’s easy to lose motivation. When I lost weight I found it is possible to lose and why not create hope for others. There was one incident where I was helping my friend to lose weight as she was trying to conceive for the past 3 years and today she has the second baby. I realized this success story can create hope in someone’s life and bring that missing smile. Then why not do this work. I come from a spiritual background it was a deep-down desire to be an instrument in people’s life who is ready for a transformation. Initially, I lost weight and then started helping many friends and family members for free I found it was not just fat loss but Lifestyle transformation and the individuals finding their new persona. I couldn’t stop myself and my whole journey is to help individuals to achieve their fitness goals by helping them discover a food guru inside them that's the awareness state where they know what's right for their body and mind. WE WANT EVERYTHING IN 2 MINUTES but unfortunately, this doesn't apply to the body. The body is not a machine it’s a temple where your soul lives in. We are unique and we are forgetting that. More importance is given to the weighing scale, fancy diet, and expecting someone’s motivations whereas it’s actually A journey to the inner self and strength, stamina physically gaining in the journey. - Vikas Sharma, Founder at Shop Apni
Great Companies: How did you get your idea or concept for the business? Vikas Sharma: I had been actively involved into organic farming since 2009. With due course of time I realised that there exists lack of trust among end users due to absence of verification method of the authenticity of the product, I started on working to come up with the solution to this problem. Being inspired from block-chain methodology which happens to generate trust from a decentralised source I started up working on building a community network which could bring people together to work for a common cause. And this is how Shop Apni came in to existence. Great Companies: What are the various Services provided by Shop Apni Vikas Sharma: We lease out 500 sq ft mini farms to our customers and grow organic vegetables of their preference. Once the produce is ready it is moved to virtual community market from where client can sell and purchase desired produce from each other. Besides, we also empower home entrepreneurs who prepare natural edible products. They can list and sell their products at our web platform which helps them increase the market span of their product hugely. It increases their visibility and generates more revenue. Additionally, we also enable local dairy farmers to sell indigenous cow’s A2 milk to our customers Great Companies: What makes Shop Apni different from hundreds of other similar service providers? Vikas Sharma: We are similar in the sense that we are providing the same products being already sold by hundreds of other e-commerce companies. But in terms of concept there is no second, so far. Today any customer can find organic products in his city but only we can assure the genuineness of the product because hundreds of our customers, the entire community has verified the same. We are inspired from the idea of locavorism which goes hand in hand with the idea of vocal for local. Our home makers not only provide fresh, natural and chemical free products to the customers but also help boost local economy. Great Companies: What are the struggles and challenges you face? Vikas Sharma: We are getting tremendous response from our customers. But the market size is huge. Sometimes it becomes difficult to cater this huge market with a small team and limited resources. The other factor is unpredictability of climatic conditions. Great Companies: How do you plan to grow in the future? What does 5 years down the line look like for Shop Apni? Vikas Sharma: We are gradually growing in terms of our customer base but we are looking forward to expand in few more cities in near future. We have identified few tier-2 cities like Jaipur, Indore, Dehradun, Vadodara and Surat for expansion. Great Companies: If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be? Vikas Sharma: Do what brings peace, happiness and satisfaction and solve the pre-existing problem with your product or services at the same time.
- Shreeish Raja, Founder at Geoin Services
Great Companies: How did you get your idea or concept for the business? Shreeish Raja: Geology & Geophysics has always been a keen area of interest to me. This being a niche unexplored sector in the Indian market has always made me keen to create more awareness about its applications and usages in various industries and types of work. I still feel that many industrial leaders engaged in projects related to the infrastructural development of the country are not aware about the applications of Geology & Geophysics and how it can solve many of their major problems. Studying and understanding the Surface and Subsurface is the first step to the beginning of any infrastructural development which is still not taken into account leading to many failures and hazards. Here the role of G&G comes into play where we provide a thorough study of the surface & subsurface leading to a better understanding about the strength of the soil and what is beneath it as result of which Industrial leaders can get a fair idea on the kind of infrastructure that can be built above and beneath the soil. Great Companies: What are the various Services provided by Geoin Services Shreeish Raja: Geoin Services provides comprehensive Consulting and Software - Hardware Services in the field of Geology, Geophysics, Remote Sensing - GIS and Energy Research Services. As a result of this we are one of the fastest growing organisations in the field of Geology & Geophysics not only in India but also in neighbouring countries like Nepal, Bangladesh and Srilanka. Great Companies: What are the struggles and challenges you face? Shreeish Raja: Well as a startup and a niche service provider about which many people are not aware it becomes very difficult in terms of market penetration and making people realise how useful your service and technology can be to them. Also as our services & technology comes into play during the inception of any infrastructural development the payment cycle extends till the project is completed leading to delays in the payment. Great Companies: How do you plan to grow in the future? What does 5 years down the line look like for Geoin Services? Shreeish Raja: We plan to start exploring more technologies in the field of Geology & Geophysics. With this we would also like to penetrate more in the field of Market Research & Management Consulting. Great Companies: If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be? Shreeish Raja: An entrepreneur's life is full of challenges. 90% of entrepreneurs give up within the initial few months and start settling for a 9 to 6 job. The remaining 10% endure and face these challenges and with time they are able to smoothly sail through. As an entrepreneur you need to hustle through these challenges coming out of your comfort zone and working at your maximum potential giving your 100% and with time you will eventually succeed.

- Shaifali Agarwal Holani, CEO at Easy Fix
Great Companies: How did you get your idea or concept for the business? Shaifali Agarwal Holani: I joined as CEO for easyfix when I was 24. Back then the company was a six months old baby with as many systems and processes just like a newborn. Previous three years before easyfix, I spent in the Dainik Jagran group working with the Operations team. My job was to travel and get below-the-line marketing activities executed. The idea came to me through a team of angel investors - Prosell - and I was attracted to explore it. They saw my work while working with Jagran for Nokia N8 Launch. I don't know how I got selected. Two months later, I quit my Jagran job and took easyfix as an opportunity and a challenge. The overall business idea sounded absolutely feasible. I did wonder why was no one else doing it. But, e-commerce was pretty new at that time. While deciding, I thought this business was only about getting things done; people aren't doing as people don't want to deal with technicians. But, in my previous job, I was anyway managing field operations. And, Talking to technicians was never a problem for me. Customers need handy technicians, and Technicians need customers; Industry had massive scope for someone ready to take accountability for customer's service. The decision to join became easier as when working from easyfix's office in Pitampura, I would be 15 mins away from Rohini and my boyfriends' location. And, I came onboarded intending to go beyond Delhi NCR and expand operations to 10 cities in 1st year (but that didn't happen until 4th year). I had to learn so many things from scratch; finance, technology, negotiations, construction, and stuff like Figma that I never thought I could do. Great Companies: What are the various Services provided by Easy Fix Shaifali Agarwal Holani: We have divided the business into five service verticals. We sign with various OEM, distribution, warehouses, logistics, and e-commerce companies and manage their product portfolio for warranty requests. Water plumbing technicians Electrical Appliances technicians Mechanical Machines technicians Furniture repair technicians Civil technicians Great Companies: What makes Easy Fix different from hundreds of other similar service providers? Shaifali Agarwal Holani: Consistency, stakeholders retention, Steady and profitable Bls, team and our vision. When clients join hands with us, they have almost never left us for competition. Few unhappy customers have been our greatest source of learning. Our proactive approach and passion for solving their problems have enhanced buyers' experience and customer relations over the years. Our cutting edge technology helps us provide then real-time tracking and build the trust that they are unable to get anywhere in the market. We are geographically the largest service provider with Next Day Delivery in over 350 cities for five service verticals and over 500 consumer products. We are the only service provider with furniture & Mechanical repair capabilities. We are the oldest, most experienced service provider with the most substantial infrastructure support and backing from Channelplay Limited, India's leading technology solutions company. Our team can beat anyone in the market for their hard work and always keeping our word. We keep a close eye on who is around. Who is trying to copy-paste existing players or anyone adding new values to the industry. I value everyone personally and take pride in staying ahead of the curve with sustained results. Great Companies: What are the struggles and challenges you face? Shaifali Agarwal Holani: Struggles and challenges are a part of all living journeys. My top 5 efforts - 1) Starting from scratch. With neither a silver spoon nor inherited money. I had to climb the learning curve through failures, setbacks, making mistakes and being resilient by not giving up. 2) I have had more critiques than friends. I have heard swampy gossips that question everything about me. I have been called selfish self-centred so many times. I have felt bad, hurt, angry and furious. But then I move on with my priorities and laugh such stuff off. 3) My maths was weak, and I struggled to understand how p&l and sheets get made. It took me time and much practice before I could use Xls like a pro -Ask probing questions to tech & finance - or end meeting with a wow 3) Limited money - Had to plan business expenses, fixed costs, operations, expansion, execution, people with limited resources and cash flow available. To expand, I had to make the business make the needed cash. 4) Finding a trusted team - Building trust in people can take time, especially when I was rather raw at 24 when I started. 5) Expanding needed scalable technology. It took multiple versions of tech stack before we could run on autopilot, the processes like - training, hiring, evaluations, audits, feedback, payout Great Companies: How do you plan to grow in the future? What does 5 years down the line look like for Easy Fix? Shaifali Agarwal Holani: We will continue to grow more muscles and maturity on what we have built so far. By 2027 we will achieve our vision to be the largest employer of handy-technicians in the country. Marketing and stories - We are building an intimate and trusted brand for brands and technicians; our branding stories will say that more often. Replicate operations in the International market - With our existing clients selling in neighbouring Asian countries - Nepal, Bangladesh and Srilanka - who will use our products in the local language. Investors - After raising capital from Axilor venture funds in 2015, easyfix did not approach external funding. We plan to seek an external alliance to partner for capital & exposure. Great Companies: If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be? Shaifali Agarwal Holani: Be an early riser - This challenge will make all other challenges seem more manageable. Mostly, people don't know what to do after waking up. I strongly reconned a morning routine that includes - health, self-learning and family. “Keep your phone in the bathroom before going to bed”, - says MelRobbins YouTubing and finding mentors online - Out there -is an expert on every topic - posting their free content online. Search on topics you want to develop. Find people whose content you relate to, watch out for their lifestyle, and get inspired. Mentors - Don't shy in going to your mentors/coaches/seniors when you feel confused or stuck on a problem. As per the Indian constitution, all citizens have the right to freedom of speech and expression. Friends and society - laugh often and have friends you can meet and vent out your emotions. Writing - To prepare for anything meaningful, write your plan and run your team through your program before delivering to your audience/client/investor/agency/deal. Children - Learn from them - how original they are - and that you don't need to be anyone else but just you. Convert Hobbies into a passion - Pick an extracurricular activity and set your goal. Build a community that resonates with your values and practices. Website : https://www.easyfix.in/ Social Media : Facebook | Twitter | LinkedIn
- Paramdeep Singh Anand, CEO at FieldAssist
Great Companies: How did you get your idea or concept for the business? Paramdeep Singh Anand: During the first half of 2010s there was a delicate bridge between automation and people. That was the 2G era. A clear divide was visible between brands who wanted full visibility of their salesmen, and sales force who were stuck with manual processes of recording and sharing sales data. At that time, our parent company Flick2Know Technologies was leading the QR code market. A brilliant service rendered rather too early for its time. That’s when one of our clients, who has witnessed the tremendous advantages of sales automation, approached us with a request to automate their sales with our technology. We were up for the challenge. In those days, sales automation was a costly affair, limited to only big, multi-billion dollar brands. From building a nascent sales automation app to innovating hundreds of new features, launching analytics, gamification, beat mapping, quick visualization tools, distributor management system and so much more, we have come a long way in a short span of time. Today, we offer a vast number of products and services to over 500 brands in the CPG industry. Great Companies: What are the various Services provided by FieldAssist Paramdeep Singh Anand: We serve a vast array of stakeholders connected to sales in the CPG industry. Within it we have distributors, salesmen, sales managers, MIS managers, and executives among others. Starting with distributors who hold a big portion of a brand's primary sales, propel a brand’s market penetration, deliver retail orders and much more, we offer online and rural DMS (Distributor Management System). With our platform, distributors are able to place orders, manage inventory and invoices, fulfill secondary orders, raise and manage claims, execute schemes and so much more with absolute ease. While brands gain visibility of all these in real time. If we talk about the salesmen, their automation needs have been lifted up with our vast range of offerings in SFA (Sales Force Automation), including insights on retail outlets they are visiting, beat route for the day and week, real-time performance insights, must-sell assortment, gamification, automated workflows and the list goes on. For managers we have quick visualization tools, an analytics app and dashboard, and flexible trend reports among others to help them analyze their team’s, region’s, area’s, and zone’s performance seamlessly. With our list of offerings managers further gain intelligence to build strategies and plan for the future. Our sales enablement and analytics solutions are also extended to modern trade where brands promote their products through in-store representatives. With our platform for modern trade, store representatives are able to record, maintain and manage inward and outward stocks, planograms, schemes, sales and so on. That’s about technology. Our offerings, however, are way beyond technology. We are go-to partners for our customers to ideate, initiate and incorporate their go-to market strategies with real-time insights, business trends, analytics and intelligence. To fuel their GTM strategies, we offer innovative solutions that accelerate growth. Great Companies: What makes FieldAssist different from hundreds of other similar service providers? Paramdeep Singh Anand: We are not just vendors who offer technology, we are partners in growth who offer solutions, who power go-to market strategies of brands in the CPG industry. We understand every business has its own areas of challenges, issues and problems when it comes to post-manufacturing supply-chain. We work from the ground up to identify the root cause of these challenges and build a solution that drives success. Our range of solutions currently available have been innovated through close collaboration with our clients. Great Companies: What are the struggles and challenges you face? Paramdeep Singh Anand: Building products and solutions that are made for India, especially for the CPG industry is no easy feat. It takes deep market expertise, a lot of groundwork and grinding to meet the high-degree of varying needs of the market. And when you decide to scale up from one solution for one category of stakeholders to one-stop solution for the entire sales processes, connecting the entire CPG ecosystem, the challenges simply pile up. To top it, they are unlike any other for ready reference. During early years of FieldAssist, as one of India’s only few SaaS companies, the biggest challenge we faced was overcoming and broadening the decades-old mindset of owning the software rather than renting it. That was followed by developing a Made for India technology solution. It was fairly early when we realised SaaS for India is different from its counterparts. For India, it was more of a DIFM, Do it for Me, than DIY, Do it Yourself. That fact is evolving in this decade though. The set of challenges are evolving too. The challenge of broadening mindsets and innovating solutions has now moved to the distributor segment of the CPG ecosystem. Further, technology adoption and facilities in the rural section of the CPG industry, including for distributors, is still at its nascent stage. Leading to a disparity in broadband and mobile connectivity. Analysing the contrast between rural and urban, we have extended offline facilities that can be synced up at a later time of the day. To meet the evolving needs of the distributors we have expanded our capabilities to integrate a vast range of ERPs with our solution for a win-win situation. And the list goes on. Great Companies: How do you plan to grow in the future? What does 5 years down the line look like for FieldAssist? Paramdeep Singh Anand: We are well on our way to become a powerhouse of innovation that empowers relationships and connects them across the CPG partner ecosystem. Our enterprise runs on challenges faced by CPG brands, and that’s our fuel. It’s these challenges that power our drive to collaborate and innovate for accelerating growth. We are already innovating and delivering solutions for leading brands in India, Middle East and Africa. Great Companies: What makes Media Now/BestSolve from hundreds of other similar service providers? Dr Akhannd Pratap Singh: Credibility is the biggest key factor. As you know in the current scenario most of the media sources are either biased or they provide paid news and reader gets confused and the start believing on these fake news whereas Media Now is a very credible source for getting reliable news items and analysis. People who reads Media Now they only believe once they read it on Media Now. Great Companies: What are the struggles and challenges you face? Dr Akhannd Pratap Singh: We faced unprecedented challenges. We started BestSolve in August 2019 and we were going quite smoothly and in March 2020 we launched Media Now but immediately after this Covid came and we went into first lockdown. It has damaged a-lot to our plans and also we had no choice to cut down our expenses and man force. After the first lockdown we again started but the market was not responsive. Soon we were put in to second lockdown and then again facing the consequences of third wave of Covid. Great Companies: How do you plan to grow in the future? What does 5 years down the line look like for Media Now/BestSolve? Dr Akhannd Pratap Singh: Now we are quite hopeful that market will be responsive again and things will be normalised. Accordingly we will establish Media Now website, Media Now Page3 and also will start and establish our news channel during this period. In BestSolve, we will be expanding our network to other major places of the country. Great Companies: If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be?
