Having done jobs at various places, I learnt a lot of things and knew exactly what I wanted. I think I will say my experience brought me to the idea of this business. It is your abode and we strive to give you that. The design that you want is at the centre of our process and not just the design. We practice minimalism in our designs. We elevate minimalism and simplicity to masterclass. Great Companies: What are the struggles and challenges you face? Pooja Chaudhari: The major challenge is definitely the stereotypes that come with being a woman. Architecture is a beautiful balance of creativity and engineering, people find it difficult to trust you with the latter part being a woman. It is assumed we are just great with the first part. Great Companies: How do you plan to grow in the future? What does 5 years down the line look like for The Monochrome Studio? Pooja Chaudhari: The monochrome studio is growing everyday and with every project. We are where we wanted to be 5 years back. For the next five years, we definitely want to grow as a studio with the design language. We want to grow the monochrome studio as a reputed and clean practice that delivers great designs and creates personalised spaces. Great Companies: If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be? Pooja Chaudhari: The only advice I have is: you can get what you want. Do not under think of yourself, you are the only one who can help yourself grow. Stay Persistent, practice consistency and keep working hard for where you want to be.

    Great Companies: How did you get your idea or concept for the business? Vishal Yadav: In 2020 there were 4.09 crores Demat accounts out of which 75% were inactive. Post covid-19 pandemic the number of Demat accounts has grown to 8.9 crores in 2022. However, most of these newly created accounts will go inactive within 2 years. As regular investment requires consistent efforts and money hence users are unable to be regular with their investment. I also faced a similar kind of situation where I had a Demat account but due to effort and the lack of knowledge, I lost interest and was not regular with my investment. So I thought there might be an easier way to be consistent. Great Companies: What are the various services provided by Arth Sense? Vishal Yadav: ArthSense is an AI-enabled personal finance assistant that helps you build THE THREE PILLARS OF WEALTH CREATION TO PLUG MONEY LEAKAGES TO SAVE CONSISTENTLY TO INVEST CONSISTENTLY It provides an alternative mechanism similar to SIP but it is much more flexible and automated. So people who stop investing due to a lack of time or money can continue to save and invest without much effort or change in their lifestyle. Great Companies: What makes Arth Sense different from hundreds of other similar service providers? Vishal Yadav: There are not many products available in the market like ours. We are among the first. Our USP is to make users regular on their savings and investment without changing their lifestyle. Great Companies: What are the struggles and challenges you face? Vishal Yadav: Being a financial domain product, building a trustable brand is the first challenge. As this service is rather new educating users is another big challenge. Apart from this, many features that we want to build, are subjected to regulatory approvals which add up to the complexity, time, and cost. Building a great user experience has been quite a challenge due to regulations. Great Companies: How do you plan to grow in the future? What do 5 years down the line look like for Arth Sense? Vishal Yadav: We have not raised any funds so far. We intend to let it grow organically. It is slow but most suitable for our present needs and capabilities. We want to reach 1 lakh, active users, in the coming 3 years and want to manage 5 lakh active users in 5 years. Great Companies: If you had one piece of advice for someone just starting out, what would it be? Vishal Yadav: 99% of startups eventually fail within 3 to 5 years. So knowing the reason why are you starting something is crucial. Once the reason is clear it gets possible to struggle and strive for it. Even if it takes a long time. A founder needs to be very honest with himself/herself.

After I came back to India, I realised that there is a shortage of facilities tailored to Cats (when compared with dogs). Hence I decided it was about time Pune got a space dedicated only to Cat Services (but some services, like food are extended to dogs on request). Great Companies: What makes The Cat's Mistress different from hundreds of other similar service providers? Chris Morris: We are a customized, cage-free, space only dedicated for Cats with fresh food and a social environment. We take time to understand each cat before we board them with us. It is important for us that the cat is comfortable. Great Companies: What are the struggles and challenges you face? Chris Morris: People restricting travel during the pandemic was a challenge to the business, particularly Boarding. Now as travel picks up the challenge is finding good staff, who can work the same way we do. Costs and inflation are big issues, as the cost of all our raw materials has gone through the roof. Great Companies: How do you plan to grow in the future? What does 5 years down the line look like for The Cat's Mistress? Chris Morris: We think the demand for specialized cat focused boarding services will continue to exceed supply in the short and medium term. In spite of the challenges we faced due to the pandemic and as a new specialized business, we expanded our space within a year of opening and are grateful to the trust our customers have placed in us. As the business matures, we look to have another 2 more branches within India over the next few years. Great Companies: If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be? Chris Morris: It may get difficult and everything may seem to be against you but remember this is your business, the dedication, time and hardship will surely pay off.

But being a small agency, we have always kept our clients a priority and delivered as much as we could. When working with a small team, resource planning and allocation can be tedious. Every growing PR agency thinks of getting more business and expanding its team accordingly and becoming a bigger 'family' with every passing year. Though we have a good amount of business coming in, we never went out with a dream of getting out there with a big fancy office and a huge team. Having worked in PR companies before, we were well aware of the unreliability that a new employee comes in with. For the beginners in PR, swift changes in the companies for better remuneration is now an expected move. We started off accordingly. Subhash Bhaskaran: We plan to offer more of our services globally though we have few clients from Middle East & US now. As we are offering our service online we find it would be easier for us to scale up globally. We plan to increase our delivery team and also add more technology to our tools like AI in our dash board for monitoring progress.
