Vpkfoods started in the year 2016 with the initiative of providing people with healthy foods in the era of modernization . We are manufacturer of peanut candies, sesame candie,coconut candy, nutritional bar and balls, ginger candy without any preservatives, artificial flavouring agents. We use only elaichi and dry ginger for flavouring.
What challenges have you overcome to reach where you are now
Challenges are prone in every story of success.And I see them as them as the approach to my success.The first challenge any women would face is the prevailing gender bias. I born in kovilpatti it is very small town in southern part of Tamilnadu.Here people are not so developed to accept a woman doing a business.Even the workers failed to pay off me the required respect.But now they have accepted me as their boss once I succeeded in my business.This task was not easier to me a running manufacturing unit in male dominating business in our place especially in peanut candy manufacturering.i am the only woman in our place.More than 100 years companies are here.But now I am the big competitetor in this business for them. Being a female, I was not able to do well with marketing because marketing requires larger physical activities.I didn't have enough fund to appoint representatives.So marketing became huge obstacles to face with.Then I came with idea of online marketing. I registered myself in various e-commerce platforms.Then just by sitting in my cabin I received all calls from people regarding marketing. I started with no asserts now we have grew up-to our own machineries. Now we are supplying more than hundred national and international dealers. We are exporting too. Service is always my motive. I am empowering more than 30 rural women. And I am providing our peanut candies to malnourished children near by rural schools as a part of their every day meal.
What message you want to give for other aspiring women entrepreneurs
Whatever they do,they should have some innovation and smartness. There are many women entrepreneur have just vision in them but they should bring it into reality. They should come out of their comfort zone and take all kind of obstacles. I believe usage of technology is one of the great platform for their business.
To what do you attribute your success
I attribute my success is to not giving up trait of me. I never gave up anything even at a hardest situation. I stood up for my goal and fought for it and I finally have it.
