Subrata De: For the last two decades, it has been my dream to establish platform for the upcoming, budding and yet to be established artists of India to promote their talent and at same time preserve our rich cultural heritage for the next generation and so on. Great Companies: What are the various Services provided by Swaranjali Delhi
Subrata De:- The organisation is a collective representation of students / Artists of Indian classical Music & Dance, aimed at providing them a platform to exchange knowledge about various disciplines through Guru Shishya Parampara styles and encourage collaboration. Swaranjali organizes Baithaks, Concerts, Lec-Dem, Workshop for students several times a year to nurture talent by creating a performance space and inviting great Maestros/Gurus to listen to them , giving them guidance ,improving their skills ,knowledge to perform better. We at Swaranjali honour to our established Gurus/ Artists for their invaluable performances, their knowledge sharing with the juniors. Journalist and traditional classical Instrument Manufacturers in India are also equally honoured and rewarded. Swaranjali has organized many concerts of Indian classical Music and Dance in various cities of India. Every year Swaranjali hosts – “ Gharana Festival” , “NRI Music and Dance Festival” , "Shraddhanjali" ," Jharkhand Mahotsava", "Bhairvii", “Murchhana Festival”, Pravasi Bharatiya Sangeet Nritya Mahotsava , World Sitar Festival, Music without Boundaries, etc. During the Covid times we have supported 135 Artists in India.
Great Companies: What makes Swaranjali Delhi different from hundreds of other similar service providers?

Swaranjali is not a commercial business oriented organisation. It’s a kind of Seva / Service towards preservation of our Indian classical Music, Dance forms with freelancers, unknown / yet to be established artists of various art forms aiming our cultural heritage, to be preserved and thrived with its purity.
Great Companies: What are the struggles and challenges you face?
Subrata De:- In ancient times there were “Court Musicians” at King’s court in their palace, now we do not have any companies/ sponsors to get financial support for such artists who are yet to earn Name and Fame. We need a common guild to raise our voice for our requirements, needs for all such performances with due respect. Govt has huge budgets for various domains but it’s not yet focused on grooming Indian artists and art forms. Artists are still struggling for their platforms and being challenged in every step of their profession.
Only influential and famed artists are getting their dreams fulfilled where as a vast population of artists are being deprived of their due recognition.
Great Companies: How do you plan to grow in the future? What does 5 years down the line look like for Swaranjali Delhi?
Subrata De:- Swaranjali is willing to establish Classical Music /Dance ,as a kind of Startup India project for the next generation. Music is an internationally reputed, highly acclaimed subject for peace and harmony along with music therapy ,healing with Yoga. It has huge international market and demands. We wish Swaranjali to thrive itself in the form of an Indian Music & Dance Research Centre , where each traditional form can be taught with Guru Shishya Paramapara in a 4 to 7 years full time course for interested candidates.
Great Companies: If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be?
Subrata De:- We request our honourable Govt of India to initiate classical Music /Dance as a compulsory subject in Schools/ Colleges or Govt recognized institutions like any other degree or diploma courses( Pracheen Kala Kendra, Gandharva , Prayag Sangit Samitti etc etc ) so that students in music stream can also make their foundation strong and provide job opportunities for deserving candidates. Music will be a popular or interesting subject to willing candidates only they see their future secured opting it as a profession.
