Shubham Rawal, Founder & CEO at StockPe

Great Companies: How did you get your idea or concept for the business?

Shubham Rawal: I started trading when there was no market and no determination to learn and invest but when the pandemic came a lot of people started finding ways to earn passive income and that's where we figured out that there is a big market waiting to get tapped. I saw people getting stuck on finding a way forward and how they can start their journey in financial markets.

Great Companies: What are the various services provided by StockPe

Shubham Rawal: We use gamification to simplify financial education by making it fun, interactive and rewarding for young Indians. We follow Learn - Play - Invest model where we help you learn about financial markets and then implement that knowledge by competing with your friends to earn rewards.

Great Companies: What makes StockPe different from hundreds of other similar service providers?

Shubham Rawal:

We use gamified content to help users understand finance at levels where once they level up they earn rewards. These rewards can be used to buy real securities as well.

Great Companies: What were the struggles and challenges you faced and how did you overcome them?

Shubham Rawal: There were a number of problems that we faced starting from product development, retaining talent and growing the company but we never felt tired or burnout. I guess it's because what we do is out of pure love about the problem and not chasing clout.

Great Companies: How do you plan to grow in the future? What does 5 years down the line look like for StockPe?

Shubham Rawal: 5 years is a long time and we see StockPe as a one-stop destination to learn and invest in x financial instruments.

Great Companies: If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be?

Shubham Rawal: Times will be tough and it will seem like you will not going to make it but that's the time when you have to gear up and be consistent.
