Great Companies: Can you commence by telling a little about your start-up?
Shruti Patel: We started A Dough Story early last year with 3 like minded friends coming together for venture that was born out of passion for food and health. From the start we our aim has been to come up with products that are not only healthy but also flavorful.
Great Companies: How do you manage to add flavour to the dryfruits in a healthy way ?
Shruti Patel: We make sure that we only work with natural flavors, so we avoid using artificial essence, flavoring, or preservatives. We have also avoided using sugar. Instead we work with Jaggery, dates , figs , honey to bring in the sweetness.
Great Companies: How do you provide such quality services to your clients? Is it because of your team or your methods?
Shruti Patel: A bit of both. since our team is very small we have a good control on quality of product as well as service that we give.
Great Companies: From where did the idea of introducing flavored dry fruits came and what kind of flavor it is ?
Shruti Patel: Healthy lifestyle is not only something we promote but also follow, hence we have always looked for alternate source for snacking on fried or junk food or for on the go as well. The goodness of dryfruits & nuts are very under rated specially in India. We saw this as an opportunity to create awareness for it by offering dryfruits & nuts with different flavors. All flavors were developed very organically, keeping in mind different taste buds. Currently we have 7 flavors in whole dry-fruits.

Great Companies: What do you plan to achieve 5 years down the line?
Shruti Patel: We are in the process of developing energy bars which are also sugar free and preservative free. The future plans are to develop more products in this range. Also we are working on developing an online presence and on our website, where one can place an order with us directly.
