Great Companies: How did you get your idea or concept for the business?
Shaishav Shah: I hail from a Gujarati Jain community and talking about business, it runs in our blood. I was always fascinated by building my own business concept since childhood. After my graduation, I joined as a Business Development Executive [BDE] for overseas business with a leading MNC.
During my tenure as BDE, I saw a biased mindset that the western countries have developed for India. The majority of the overseas companies that we dealt with, preferred Israel, the EU, and China but not India for setting up long-term Tech R&D and Product Engineering infrastructure.
That is when the childhood inclination within me got its spark. Why cannot India be a hub for trending technologies, product engineering, AI, and R&D? We are still being seen as a mere labor country despite the fact that Fortune 5000 companies have 25% Asian staff and 30% are leading the companies. My journey as an entrepreneur started from the idea of envisioning India as a tech-leading country through Softvan.
SoftVan is our unified vision to lead on the global platform as an Innovation-driven Product Engineering & R&D specialist from India. Shaishav Shah: Struggles and challenges are part of life. They may not just bring visible challenges but also opportunities in disguise.
I had been facing challenges the moment I thought of starting a business. From setting up infrastructure to building your own team and then walking along the journey together, it is not simple.
Like everyone, even I had my share of lows and my team and family stood by me to support me. We continue to be available for each other emotionally and that is the essence of the Indian culture that let’s us going.

Shaishav Shah: Softvan is not just a business meant to lead the profit charts. We are a team of advisors, strategists and engineers who are focused to aid people and organization dream bigger, move faster and build better tomorrows for all.
We plan to stick the “same plan” with added innovations each day to grow better, wider and bigger in the future.

5 years down the line, I see SoftVan Pvt Ltd as the leading business and technological consultation firm servicing from India for the global clients. I see SoftVan as a place to foresee, explore and experiment with the future and unleash the creativity to new levels.

Shaishav Shah: Just do it and Keep going. . . If you can't do great things, do small things in a great way!
