Great Companies: How did you get your idea or concept for the business?
Shailesh Shashikant Gadre: I am a Lawyer by Education and have worked with renowned Companies / Firms like Larsen & Toubro, Toyota Motors, Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PWC) and Economic Laws Practice (ELP).
I was earning a good income and was successful in my profession I was terribly busy in my work life that I could barely spare leisure time with my loved ones.
One day, despite his consistent reminders, I missed my son’s first stage performance at his school. Looking at his crying face really made me wonder about my whole situation & that was the trigger to explore something new in life. On that day I realized that there is a huge difference between Being Successful and Being Happy.
I observed that many of my colleagues and friends were also in the same position. Despite them earning good income, they were “Time poor” like me They were so busy in their professional activities that they could barely have time to manage their money. They needed someone Trustworthy who could manage their finances well. That made me think why not me?
As a matter of interest, I was studying various aspects of Wealth Management. In that moment, an idea of forming an organization that could help busy and dynamic professionals to manage their money.
My wife Seema also supported this decision and motivated me to start on my own. I started my own company GKFS LLP ( Formerly Gadre’s Knowledge & Financial Solutions LLP) on 1st April 2011. My colleagues too were happy, since their own trustworthy friend Shailesh was there to manage their finances and handhold in their journey of achieving Financial Freedom.

Shailesh Shashikant Gadre: In our experience of over a decade, a common challenge has been to change the mindset of people from typical ‘Product Based Financial Management’ to ‘Goal Based Wealth management’.
As I mentioned earlier, what separates us from others is the emphasis on financial management based on major Life Goals. Many people need to understand that managing money is equally important to earning money.
Over the years, we have educated our clients on importance of Goal Based Wealth Management & I am happy to say that our clients get genuinely satisfied when they achieve their Goals with proper management of their finances. Great Companies: How do you plan to grow in the future? What does 5 years down the line look like for GKFS LLP?
Shailesh Shashikant Gadre: In past few years, we have expanded our offerings from Investment and Insurance solutions to Personal CFO services like Succession Planning, Will, Tax Planning, etc. We have various experts on our panel for each segment. Our vision for next 5 years is to provide ‘Full-Fledged Family Office Services’ to our clients.
