Great Companies: Please tell me something about the business and how did you come up with such an idea?
Ratan Rajai: River Winds Resort is only resort in Kalyan outskirts which offers Wedding services and Corporate Leisure events. With growing demand for destination marriages, we visualised a need for it in 2004 and this is where our journey started. Idea was to give people a place to feel at home away from home yet very close.

Ratan Rajai: Resort has 40 rooms with restuarant both air-conditioned and open air. We provide one stop solution for weddings from catering to decor to rooms all under one roof. We offer Day package and Over Night stay packages to our guest.

Ratan Rajai: With immaculate planning of events be it wedding or corporate events we have experience of more than 14 years and provide all details in writing with one point of contact. Anticipating guest needs and attention to detail are our key strengths.
Great Companies: What are the struggles and challenges you face?
Ratan Rajai: Initially it was difficult to get food talent at resort. It is always a team effort and it look a few years to train and perfect a team which is now ready to serve our guest. They understand the essense of Atithi Devo Bhava.

Ratan Rajai: Understanding ones business from all aspects is very important. Only when you know your product well you can sell it well. Service is of utmost importance. Every guest has different expectations. So Anticipating needs and delighting our guest is the key to success.
