Great Companies: How did you get your idea or concept for the business?
Pawan Lahoti: I was always the person who would want to do something innovative all the time. When I was looking for business opportunity in 2008 in Indore, I realized that there are almost all players who are either doing granites, marbles or stone trading. Nobody was doing stone cladding products.
I immediately realized the gap in the market and started with natural stone cladding as my offer.
Soon architects & designers loved the concept of different varieties in natural stone ranging from stone mosaics, and stacking stones and we became the preferred choice for architects & designers in this category of business

Pawan Lahoti: As we started with natural stone cladding in 2008, today we are offering a wide range of value added natural stones products. Ranging from customized stones for indoor & outdoor flooring to creative & customized concepts for interior & exterior wall cladding. We are designing beautiful concepts in natural stones for almost all application area of home like Façade, Feature Wall, Pooja Room, Bar and lounge Area, Terrace garden, landscape area, water body, courtyard, powder room and many more.
We are now a one stop solution in providing whole range of Indian natural stone products.

Pawan Lahoti: As we always believed in creating blue ocean strategy for us, all our products & designs are unique & customized to suit individual’s taste & budget.
We have the in-house design team & CNC machines which helps us in designing & creating new concepts every time.
We also have many different varieties of Indian natural stones in different thickness & finishes which help us in creating unique concepts.
With these kind of strength, we are always offering Bespoke products to our clients to make them happy all the time.
Great Companies: What were the struggles and challenges you faced and how did you overcome them?
Pawan Lahoti : As you grow from small business to professional run SME, lot of learnings & unlearning is required. You need people and systems to run the company. So we went for various business coaching & counseling sessions. We build an amazing team which helped us in growing our business. We constantly look out for creating systems & processes in our company which is helping us to overcome our challenge.
Great Companies: How do you plan to grow in the future? What does 5 years down the line look like for Iconic Stones Pvt Ltd?
Pawan Lahoti: We are looking to collaborate & partner with companies who are offering world class products for Façade, Floor & Walls.
We are also planning to venture into various other diversified natural stone products.
Last year we started our Bhopal outlet and we are looking for partners in other cities to start our outlet there.
We are also trying to build & grow our online presence to cater to needs of clients from all over India.
Great Companies: If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be?
Pawan Lahoti : With my experience, I have strongly learnt that there is always a better ways to do anything you are doing right now. So continuous learning mode is always required in business. You have to learn to create better products or services, better customer experiences, upgrading and updating your team all the time.
