They provide knitted breast prosthesis to black women who have lost their breasts to cancer in Kenya, to boost their self-esteem. They also use the prostheses to educate women on the early symptoms. She started the organization after losing her mother to cancer, she faced a lot of stigma after losing her breast, that made her depressed and eventually passed away.

She made affordable prostheses to women who wear rags, rolled t shirts and cabbage leaves. They donate to hospitals and breast cancer support groups. The women they support survive on less than $1 a day.

Challenges Faced During the Journey:

They have a challenge of funding. They would like to purchase a mobile mammogram bus to access women in the village who can't afford mammograms in order to save lives. They lack funds.


Advice for Women Entrepreneurs:

Starting this organization, made me heal and grieve my mom differently. I encourage all to do a cause that’s greater than them.
