Maria Chapman- Founder of MC2 Limited
Great Companies: Please tell me something about the business and how did you come up with such an idea? Maria Chapman: I have worked in the print industry for over 32 years, I established MC2 16 years ago as i believed there was a big gap in the market between the printer and the customer. The printers were production driven as opposed to focusing more on customers needs. No one printer can supply everything to the market. With there being a lot of varying print production capabilities, often customers do not know where or who to go to for their specific printing requirements.
Great Companies: What are the various services and products provided by your company? Maria Chapman: MC2 services range from supply of stationery, magazine, book, journal, business cards, posters, packaging, labels, signage, vehicle signage, brochures print requirements. Anything that needs to be printed for branding, messaging, marketing. Great Companies: Why should one choose you over others in this field? Maria Chapman: Our experience over many years of working in the print industry with printers in NZ and overseas gives us an advantage to be able to offer clients high quality, cost competitive print solutions on time. Our purchasing power with suppliers means we can pass on cost savings to clients. Our experience means we can find the right print solution for their needs. Our range of suppliers also gives the opportunity to work in a timely manner with a variety of suppliers to ensure the clients receive their product on time.
Great Companies: What are the struggles and challenges you face? Maria Chapman: MC2 is growing and will need to look at employing people to assist in growing the business and maintaining the level of customer service clients currently experience. This is something we are looking to pursue this year 2020. Great Companies: What do you think are the few main things which are most important for a successful business? Maria Chapman: Communication is key, in all facets of business. I think its vital to always let suppliers and clients know what is going on from a production perspective and also whats happening in the market place and offer solutions if any concerns arise. MC2 has a customer portal via the website to allow clients to monitor the progress of their jobs and communicate.
