Great Companies: How did you get your idea or concept for the business?

Leo Patnaik: It all started in the year 2011 when my elder cousin and I identified a raging issue with the small and medium businesses not being able to tap into the power of digital marketing. Most S&M businesses and start-ups weren’t even aware of the fact that internet marketing can do wonders for their business. And a few of those who knew about digital marketing wanted success overnight, without putting much thought and work into the organic process.


This felt like an opportunity for us to educate and elevate these start-ups to help them grow and scale their business. Once we started doing this, we could see that most clients needed an all-inclusive service provider that could cater to all their digital needs, from getting a domain name to building a website and marketing their business on the internet. Thus, we expanded into a team with diversified expertise.

Leo Patnaik: As a comprehensive service provider, we offer a wide range of services which includes but are not limited to web designing and development, e-commerce website, website management, mobile app development, digital marketing, SEO Services, Social media marketing and optimisation, creative designing, content writing, and hosting services.


Great Companies: What makes ONMATECH Solutions different from hundreds of other similar service providers?

Leo Patnaik:

We believe that IT & digital services cannot be offered as a “One-Size-Fits-All” solution. Most of the service providers in this domain have pre-designed plans or packages that may or may not help the client to achieve their goals. But, at ONMATECH, we believe every client/business is different and so are their needs and challenges. We understand and identify their needs first and then offer a tailor-made solution that is specifically designed to upscale their productivity and business.

All IT firms, like us, use the same advanced tools and technology but what makes us stand out from the rest is the innovation and the attention-to-detail that reflects in every work done by us for our esteemed clients. In short, we invest ourselves in each project as if it is our own and not just some work for the client.



Great Companies: What are the struggles and challenges you face?

Leo Patnaik: Progress and struggle, go hand in hand. We believe that every challenge offers an opportunity to grow and get better. One of the major challenges that we’re facing these days are the cybersecurity threats and the rise of data theft by hackers and malicious entities. At ONMATECH, we take web security very seriously and constantly work towards keeping your digital information safe and secure.


Another challenge that has been helping us to evolve is creating engaging content. Research shows us that the average user attention span is getting shorter by the day and this poses a challenge to create quality content that engages users and converts them into potential customers. We always have to be on our toes and think outside the box in order to ensure that our marketing efforts are fetching the right results for our clients.


Great Companies: How do you plan to grow in the future? What does 5 years down the line look like for ONMATECH Solutions?

Leo Patnaik: Five years is a long time and even longer in the ever-evolving technology world. We started with a vision of providing quality services to help small and medium businesses and start-ups scale to their potential. We will continue to work with the same vision while evolving our technology and procedures to fit clients' needs. We are constantly working on concentric diversification.


Great Companies: If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be?

Leo Patnaik: Entrepreneurship has taught me many invaluable lessons, and I’m still learning. One thing that I’ve learned in all these years is ALWAYS DO QUALITY WORK and then let it speak for itself. There’s no alternative to good quality work and it helps you to build long-term relationships with your clients or customers.
