Challenges Faced During the Journey:
As eldest daughters of immigrants, the founders have overcome obstacles of systemic racism to gain the training and experience needed to open this collective. As two queer women, they have navigated challenges within heteronormative systems. Being a BIPOC and Queer collective founded by two women of colour in the current climate presents both challenges and acts as a form of resistance.
Advice for Women Entrepreneurs:
Women, including women of colour, are born worthy of entrepreneurship. It is the colonial patriarchy that indoctrinates them to think otherwise. They carry the strength and wisdom of the women who came before them—their ancient matriarchs. By stepping into their power, they also create a ripple effect of healing for the women of the past and future generations.
