Holly Meyer: Chicky Chicky Bling Bling was born out of my love for creating and my desire to make my children feel especially loved. I wanted to bring some light into a seemingly dark and hateful world, so I sought to create magical parties and unforgettable memories for them and their friends. After assembling these memorable parties, word began to spread until soon friends were asking me to help with their own celebrations. Eventually, I decided that it was time to share the joy that I had brought my children with other families, so I developed a business plan full of products designed to encourage families all over the world to come together, celebrate their kids, and create fairy-tale moments that will last a lifetime

Holly Meyer: Chicky Chicky Bling Bling is here to bring joy and timeless memories that will last a lifetime through our delightful party supplies and gifts. Our products are designed with love, creativity, and imagination to create a unique experience for all of our consumers. We strive to make everyone who purchases from us feel exceptionally special and loved, especially children. In a world that can be full of anger and sadness, we want our products to inspire joy, imagination, and love so that customers can take a break from their everyday lives and just for a moment, create magical moments and memories with their child that will be cherished for years to come.
Great Companies: What makes Chicky Chicky Bling Bling LLC different from hundreds of other similar service providers?
Holly Meyer: Here at Chicky Chicky Bling Bling, we know that everyone loves a good sleepover. That's why we were the only all-in-one non-rental sleepover party in a box provider. Other vendors may make tents and tepees, but none provide the level of detail and personalization that we do. We put our heart into creating new and existing themes to fit any customer’s dreams and budgets – with special touches such as personalized party favours and re-useable party supplies, meant to bring some extra magic to every sleepover. We take great pride in knowing that our creations can bring smiles to children’s faces, even if it’s not always about the money. After all, isn't that what really matters?
Great Companies: What were the struggles and challenges you faced and how did you overcome them?
Holly Meyer: They have done their best to love my creations. I no longer dread hearing the phone ping wondering what Amazon customer is complaining or what return I am refunding. Instead I am greeted with photos of parties with smiling.
Finding a platform where customers appreciate our dedication and hard work was a challenge. We were constantly dealing with customer returns on Amazon, so we decided to look for other options – and that's when we found Etsy. Here, customers can truly enjoy what we create – without the hassle of refunds and customer complaints. Plus, when we ship out our quality products, the photos of kids smiling at their parties are worth more than anything! That's why Chicky Chicky Bling Bling is proud to be an Etsy seller. Without all the Amazon hassles it has also allowed me time to work on creating my own website so that one day I can stand on my two feet without needing any marketplace platforms.
Great Companies: How do you plan to grow in the future? What does 5 years down the line look like for Chicky Chicky Bling Bling LLC?
Holly Meyer: While many websites project slightly different numbers, they all agree that the party supplies market will experience huge growth in the coming years. I plan to make use of this growth and provide customers with unique, custom and personalized party supplies that they can't find elsewhere. My products are designed to save money, reduce waste, and create lasting memories for families by offering re-usable items which can be used over and over again for multiple children or occasions. By purchasing two printers - a Direct to Film printer and a UV printer - I will be able to expand my product catalogue greatly and increase my capacity to personalize almost any product or blank item that a customer might request. This investment would not only allow me to meet customer demands but also take advantage of the growing trend in themed parties by providing them with truly special products they won't find anywhere else. Additionally, I have no idea where my imagination will take me in the next 5 years, we will just have to see.
Great Companies: If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be?
Holly Meyer: Don’t give up and don’t get tangled in crazy business plans. Start selling or doing what you love and a make little money doing it and then start figuring out business plans. I’ve seen too many companies stall trying to make the perfect business plan instead of just jumping in and learning how to swim.
