Great Companies: How did you get your idea or concept for the business?
Elena Santolini: My business partner loves online games and he was in brand activation event, during lockdown we both lost our job and he started thinking to an online way to recreate the engagement that he used to have during the events. Being myself in marketing I found the idea really interesting and I decided to join him and after months of brainstorming and trial we came out with our gamification marketing platform idea.
Great Companies: What are the various services provided by WorkPlay Studio Pvt. Ltd.
Elena Santolini: We develop online casual games to use for marketing scope, for In-App engagement and to gamify the social media ads.
Great Companies: What makes WorkPlay Studio Pvt. Ltd. different from hundreds of other similar service providers?
Elena Santolini: Gamification marketing is a really new concept, so we do not have many big competitors, and the platform we want to build will allow also small and medium companies to gamify their ads, while now, gamification ia a luxury that only big brands can afford.
Great Companies: What were the struggles and challenges you faced and how did you overcome them?
Elena Santolini: Initially we were just having an idea, how to structure it was the main issue. Now we have clear where we want to reach and how our peoduct has to function. The main difficulty that we had is that not me neither my partner are coming from a tech background, and our platform is completely a tech product, we had to learn a lot before to reach the point we are today.
Great Companies: How do you plan to grow in the future? What does 5 years down the line WorkPlay Studio Pvt. Ltd.?
Elena Santolini: Workplay will be the first gamification marketing platform where users can just choose games to use in their marketing like they choose food in a restaurant. You have a menu and different kind of games, subscribe, customize the game with the template available and use it however you need. Simple, fast and cheap.
Great Companies: If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be?
Elena Santolini: Get ready to have many faliurs, but never give up, learn from your mistake and believe in what you do.
