Great Companies: How did you get your idea or concept for the business?

Debjani Das: The entertainment industry hooked me up to do something in this industry. When I saw the cravings of an independent filmmaker for recognition, earnings, and also to create a unique position in the filmmaker community and industry, I came up with landing an idea to launch multi-sided platforms such as those mentioned below.


1. Film Festival Platform

2. Digital Distribution Platform

3. Social Networking Platform,

4. OTT for Independent Films.

Debjani Das: METASAPIENT RESOURCES PVT. LTD has emerged with 3 different platforms exclusively for the filmmakers, entertainment industry, and personnel, with the best services to remove the gap that prevails in the industry for the development of Independent communities and their prosperity throughout the globe.


The three platforms are as follows; World Film Communities Network (WFCN), Cult Critic, Formulaboxx, Acid Factory 



Great Companies: What makes METASAPIENT, INC. different from hundreds of other similar service providers?

Debjani Das: Yes few similar providers are providing their services all over the world, but we with our three platforms provide unique digital distribution of independent films, and commercial films with a minimum cost charged so that the Filmmakers could sustain this global entertainment industry and can make his project recognized in the film festivals platforms (WFCN).


WFCN is a unique digital platform for film professionals and film lovers to access global opportunities in research, production, co-production, publicity, festival submission, and distribution. It is one of the best and big projects of METASAPIENT RESOURCES PVT. LTD, where the platform is giving an enormous scope to independent filmmakers to showcase their independent art. Our Strategy and vision are Explore, Connect and Earn. Filmmakers make their projects by connecting with festivals submitting them, getting recognition, and distributing their films on different OTT (Acid Factory, Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc). At last, they earn money at their best.


Great Companies: What were the struggles and challenges you faced and how did you overcome them?

Debjani Das: In this global market for independent Filmmakers, there is less scope for development but we found a narrow linear gap excel in the global independent film industry, there are different struggles in different countries in their entertainment industry so we came up with a big idea to fill up this gap and generated a scope for the independent film artists to come up with their new project to showcase to different audiences geographically and earnings which gives their passion a boost. In this whole process, the basic struggle that came up is to connect with the filmmakers, and due to the less scope, some of the filmmakers lose hope due to financial conditions proper knowledge, and negligence. To value the impact of the company is to generate the best opportunities and sustainability for filmmakers.


Great Companies: How do you plan to grow in the future? What do 5 years down the line look like for METASAPIENT, INC.?

Debjani Das: We as a company are acting as Sailor and steering the whole journey right now, we will be expanding organically all over the globe. From the beginning, we have planned our journey to be:


Advertising and marketing communications towards filmmakers should be clear, attractive, and knowledgeable. It will be the main pillar of strength.


To bring and collaborate big house film festivals, entertainment houses, and juries under one umbrella.


Organic reach and promotions of independent work can bring out good earnings for the Filmmakers.


To work in multiple segments wherever we feel the gap for the betterment of the independent art culture.

Debjani Das: Research the Market, Find a gap & Opportunity, Fill up with your idea, remove the hurdle, keep hustling and the rest will follow.
