Ayush Rana, Founder and CEO at Sniccy

Great Companies: How did you get your idea or concept for the business?

Ayush Rana: Actually, it was about 2 years ago that I went to do a haircut at my regular barber shop, but there were already customers who were in line before me, so I thought it may be a max of some more minutes after that, but one customer increased his service from haircut to facial, and I had to wait around 1.5 hours to come in for my turn. I got the problem that every middle-class person is facing while visiting a salon: wastage of time and a standard.

Great Companies: What are the various services provided by Sniccy?

Ayush Rana: Actually when we started we were only focused on salons and parlors but when we analyzed this market we became a service providing company that provides services that are used on a weekly, monthly, yearly basis by customers like salons, parlors, booking banquets etc.

Great Companies: What makes Sniccy different from hundreds of other similar service providers?

Ayush Rana: Actually we are focusing on the middle class salons or service providers which are unorganized and help them to standardize their services under Sniccy.

Great Companies: What were the struggles and challenges you faced and how did you overcome them?

Ayush Rana: Actually if you are building something from scratch then there are a lot of obstacles and struggles that will come your way and sometimes you just have to do hit and trial when nothing is working. When i started i have many problems like i have convince my parents about working in it and i have been going through personal RELATIONSHIP issue that has also mentally affected me very much like it is one of the main thing that changed my life at that point of time have to fight daily with me but if you have to do something different you have to face the problems, also like finding team mates or co founder is also very important because at some point when we have started sniccy we have team of around 22 people at point at last i am the only one within a year who is trying to run it i have started again and again and failed at some point but i will try to continue and learn things.

Great Companies: How do you plan to grow in the future? What does 5 years down the line look like for Sniccy?

Ayush Rana: our plan is to get the market share so that we can provide as much service as possible to as many people at affordable prices in the next 5 years we see ourselves at different categories like salon, parlor, banquets, servicing, etc. and at some of the tier 2 or 3 cities. and try to win the market.

Great Companies: If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be?

Ayush Rana: According to me it's persistent like doing something you believe in even if people are against you and never giving up.
