Ankita Mehra and Zarine Ninan, Co-Founders of ZAC Business Transformers

Great Companies: How did you get your idea or concept for the business?

Zarine Ninan: While doing our previous stints at start-ups, the corporate world and running a chain of QSRs, the thing we missed the most was support and guidance to run the business effectively & focus on scaling vs. firefighting every day. We were drained and stressed and this was affecting all areas of our life including our health. We craved for some method to this madness. This is when we cracked the code & that brought us together to help small businesses create systems, structure and skills to break the shackles of business slavery and move towards business freedom.

Great Companies: What are the various Services provided by ZAC Business Transformers

Zarine Ninan: Ankita and I set up ZAC in May 2020, with an intention to offer business transformation coaching & consulting to small business owners through our signature Heart to Biz Program, that we have refined based on 30+ years of our combined experience. We not only help with the strategy, but also focus on mindset to achieve minimum 10x growth.

Great Companies: What makes ZAC Business Transformers different from hundreds of other Business Consulting firms?

Ankita Mehra: Firstly, we work primarily with small business owners who have been in business for 3-5 years and are looking to overcome their current challenges to scale. Most consulting firms are all about strategy, we at ZAC believe that to have a good business, one must work on the business, but to build a great one, the business owner must work on themselves, as well.

We have created a unique program that is holistic and addresses the core functional areas of business, as well as works on the mindsets of the business owners. As a leader having a strong vision and being able to align your business & life goals with that vision, is imperative for sustained happiness and success. This is where we come in.

Great Companies: What are the struggles and challenges you face?

Zarine Ninan: Many clients come to us to fix a part of their problem, usually revolving around the branding and messaging in order to improve their customer base or they want to increase their retail presence. But this is only a symptom, the root cause is usually something much bigger than the business owner is ready to accept. To get them to see the larger picture is sometimes challenging, but when they see it, that is when they have an AHA moment and that is exactly what the program is designed to achieve. This bring about lasting change and accelerated performance for the business.

Great Companies: How do you plan to grow in the future? What does 5 years down the line look like for ZAC Business Transformers?

Ankita Mehra: Our mission is to prevent small business failure due to the lack of guidance and support. We endeavour to impact 100,000 people globally & over 1000 businesses in the next 5 years, by providing them the tools to live an empowered life through the businesses they run! We use technology greatly to impact this level of change and reach our clients, thereby nurturing a community of leaders who can join us in transforming one business at a time.

Great Companies: If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be?

Zarine Ninan: The biggest mistake small business owners can make is to think like a small business! So from day one, we urge you to set up business processes that are geared to scale, even if you are currently a solopreneur.
