Anish Sarkar, Founder and CEO at Applyers

Great Companies: How did you get your idea or concept for the business?

Anish Sarkar: Previously I already did a startup called aldegos.com in 2018, it was an online social media platform for restaurants, in that 3 - 4 years of experience I've gained so much knowledge about most things, and also faced multiple problems and pieces of stuff, But still get over 2000+ restaurants onboarded on aldegos.com platform. Right now I'm in 2nd year of my diploma in computer science, I formed Indore Madhya Pradesh.

Then some time ago I noticed or faced student finding issues getting internships, freelance work, etc, then I got the idea that let's create a platform for students about this problem.

Great Companies: What are the various services provided by Applyers

Anish Sarkar: Applyers is an online platform for internships, projects, and freelance work for students/freshmen, So here students can find freelance gigs, internships, and clients.

Great Companies: What makes Applyers different from hundreds of other similar service providers?

Anish Sarkar: Applyers is already a very astonishing platform, but still it has a very powerful usp which is having a freelance marketplace/internship portal, that one provides in this space!

Great Companies: What were the struggles and challenges you faced and how did you overcome them?

Anish Sarkar: In starting, we get multiple challenges, and still we get and also we'll get in future. We faced some times tech issues, PMF(product market fit), and more but still we managed to solve it

Great Companies: How do you plan to grow in the future? What do 5 years down the line look like for Applyers?

Anish Sarkar: We've multiple strategies but one of them is, we plan to give international opportunities for them through our platform in a 2-3 years of span

Great Companies: If you had one piece of advice for someone just starting out, what would it be?

Anish Sarkar: As an entrepreneur, I'll give a very real peace of advice, Don't always look up to make a perfect product and then launch, But instead of just launching and then getting better - better day by day, through feedback, research, and more.
