Great Companies: Can you tell a little bit about your company The HR Trail, LLC?

Amber Trail: I'm Amber Trail, Founder & Consultant of The HR Trail, LLC. I am a small business HR consultant, and love that I have been able to take my years of education and experience in the Human Resources world and create my own business to help other businesses. Our motto is "Human Resource solutions for your small business needs". As a consultant, I am able to provide small businesses who do not have the budget for a full-time HR professional with a variety of wonderful HR services.

Great Companies: What makes "The HR Trail,LLC different from hundreds of other HR firms?

Amber Trail: The thing is, I love helping people and I love helping small businesses. HR firms and HR professionals are vital to the business world, but what separates me from others is that I use my passion and my creativity to meet with small businesses and to help them reach their HR needs and goals. I know what you're thinking, how can someone be passionate about HR? I thought that too before I started my HR journey but over the years it has been so rewarding helping small businesses find the right people, getting them up-to-date with the legal aspects of their company, and helping them plan events to celebrate their employees. So what makes The HR Trail different? Passion. 

Great Companies: What are the various services provided by your company?

Amber Trail: 

Our most popular service is recruitment and onboarding. Now that businesses have been slowly opening back up or are even starting up, they're looking to hire! We also offer company handbook development, event planning, compliance and HR audits, coaching and consulting, resume writing, keynote speaking, and compensation analysis.

Great Companies: How do you make sure to solve all the complex HUMAN RESOURCE problems of the Small Business?

Amber Trail: We can't solve all of them but we do our best. We start with a company handbook for our clients which reduces the risk of many lawsuits and legal issues down the road. This is our starting point. The second area that we can reduce complex human resource problems is sharing our knowledge and coaching our clients to reduce confusion in the workplace and create a cohesive environment and culture for both client (the employer) and their employees. 

Great Companies: How do you plan to grow in the future? What does 5 years down the line look like for The HR Trail, LLC ? 

Amber Trail:  Since launching my business a little over a year ago, I've been able to hire 3 part-time employees, which is some serious growth I had no idea was going to happen in the first year alone! I've got a great team behind the business and I know that my goals and aspirations for the business along with their creativity and work ethic will help The HR Trail become a nationwide HR consultant company. When I started this company I also thought I'd only find clients in the tri-state region but we are slowly branching out to other states which is super exciting! I'm so ready to spread my passion and skills to small businesses across the country. In 5 years I hope that The HR Trail is known for it's experience and HR expertise for small business all over. We want to be the "go to" HR guru's.
