Aarushi Jain - Founder of ArtisansLove


Great Companies: Please tell me something about the business and how did you come up with such an idea?

Aarushi Jain: ArtisansLove was started as a platform, where handicrafts I produced could be seen by more and more people. Fortunately, one day amongst the followers, one person came up and requested for a scrapbook. There came my first order, where I was not at all prepared for it, was very nervous but with the help of the co-founder of ArtisansLove 'Palak Jain' and all the creativity, love and hard work we could put in, we finished the scrapbook and successfully delivered it. The real motivation started then. Orders keep on pouring in since then, and here we are successfully delivering more than 500 products annually.

Great Companies: What are the various services and products provided by your company?

Aarushi Jain: Handmade gifts, Customized Products (Personal use & Corporate use), Handcrafted Home Decor. Our new project is home-crafted MASKS, all free of cost for everyone in need.

Great Companies: Why should one choose you over others in this field?

Aarushi Jain: ArtisansLove is something that can never get tired of spreading happiness in the world by the means of producing best handicrafts and customized gifts all specially designed according to the client’s need, demand and budget. We have always kept our price range very minimal, keeping in mind that not everyone has the same budget. At ArtisansLove every time we craft something, we try to make it as unique as possible and something which will be remembered forever.

Great Companies: What are the struggles and challenges you face?

Aarushi Jain: Major challenge we face is the taste of the client. It is very difficult to understand what is there in your client’s mind and that too even over a call or text. Sometimes it takes us 2-3 rounds to get to the final product. Next challenge we usually face is budget, when the client is expecting a lot in a very small budget. But gradually we have learnt how to overcome the budget issue and provide the client with what he/she expects. During this journey we met all kinds of people, clients, vendors, competitors, criticizers and the most important part is we have to work with all of them as team for and every order. There have been times, where it was difficult to build the bridge between the want and the need, but we as a strong and confident team never failed to accomplish a project or to get it delivered on time. Our each and every step from procuring to manufacturing to delivering has been and experience with a new challenge on each step, but we as a team have always learnt from our experiences and grew better and better.

Great Companies: What do you think are the few main things which are most important for a successful business?

Aarushi Jain: One major learning I got during this journey, is that you have to be simply selfless. In our field, all we do is for our client, for their happiness, and what I have to myself is the satisfaction at the end of each day, that we delivered another happiness. There is absolutely no term in this field such as profit or loss. It’s about the productivity, the content and its uniqueness. I would just sum up by saying that if you are passionate about something, give it a try. You might fail you might rise, but at the end you won’t be regretting for not trying. Everything comes with experience, and experience comes with experiments and experiments comes with first trial.
