Challenges Faced During the Journey:

Having spent decades as a C-suite executive on Wall Street, deciding to abandon my career, move to a tropical island in Belize, and start a coaching business was the most terrifying thing I’ve ever done. I didn't know if it would work, but I had complete faith in my product and my ability to make my dream happen. Learning to be an entrepreneur challenged everything I knew as an executive from a large corporation. When I started, I was completely unaware of sales funnels, email campaigns, product launches, webinars, or nurture series; and I hated social media. I made every mistake imaginable as I listened to all the experts only to find out their advice didn’t work. I gradually identified my ideal client and learned how to find, attract, and serve them better than anyone else could. As I built the business, I knew CWC had to be more than just me. We need to have a broader reach and support more clients. Today, CWC has serviced over 250 clients and continues to bring on additional coaches. Our team spans four countries, and we help leaders and businesses in almost every industry imaginable.

Advice for Women Entrepreneurs:

Entrepreneurialism is not easy or for the faint of heart, but it’s worth it. You need to be really good at selling yourself (and your product) because people won't just show up on your doorstep. Establishing your brand takes a lot of time, money, discipline, and focus. Use your strengths and hire out for your weaknesses. Adopt an experimental mindset and approach your business with intellectual curiosity, tenacity, and resolve. You’ll get many things wrong as you figure out how to get the essential things right. Rely on those who have gone before you for their wisdom and advice so you can move faster.
