Shikha Khemka, Founder at Vanity Unapologetiq

Great Companies: How did you get your idea or concept for the business?

Shikha Khemka: I was into clothing from a very young age. I enjoyed the idea of experimenting with new clothes and making something new and distinctive out of it. I was continuously asked by my friends and known ones for advice about the same but I never thought of styling as a profession to take up. It later clicked to me that I can use my passion to help others and create a name for myself. Three years ago, vanity unapologetic was made.

Great Companies: What are the various services provided by Vanity Unapologetiq

Great Companies: What makes Vanity Unapologetiq different from hundreds of other similar service providers?

Shikha Khemka: We believe style is not just about looking good but also feeling good. Vanity makes our clients goals our goals and we strive till we achieve them and make a noticeable difference within ourselves. Along with helping with styling, we conduct daily personal activities to boost our clients confidence and self love by finding the correct affirmations and then saying them out loud till we believe in them. Regular follow ups on our clients are being done to make sure they are happy with the services we are providing and whether or not they are implementing them. Style is all about portraying and showcasing the best version of yourself and we assist with finding your authentic self unapologetically.

Great Companies: What are the struggles and challenges you face?

Shikha Khemka: Being an entrepreneur has its own ups and downs. Style is more than clothes. It's about confidence where the ‘body image’ is given the most importance. It's not just for celebrities, style is democratic.

Great Companies: How do you plan to grow in the future? What does 5 years down the line look like for Vanity Unapologetiq?

Shikha Khemka: I plan to create an accessible platform for men/women to reach out for those living below poverty line to help them with style, clothes where I could provide clothes to them for free which are gently and carefully used in the past where i could help them with the clothes which my clients would love to donate while decluttering. Also a subscription module for every1 to get styled where they could shop the whole look.

Great Companies: If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be?
