Company Detail:

Formed in 2021, they've consulted with large organizations, non-profits, and small businesses alike. Their team has deep expertise - over their combined 50 years of experience they've a name for themselves creating game-changing communication initiatives that facilitate organizational growth for some of Texas' most beloved brands. Services Offered: Branding, Internal Communications, Social Media, Videography/Photography, Health & Wellness, Facilitation

Unique Selling Proposition or Competitive Advantage:

They offer a wide array of services because every organization is as unique as the people who work there, and the product or service they provide. They like to take a collaborative approach and work with you in order to connect the dots, and deliver custom solutions that work.

Challenges Faced During the Journey:

She’ve been a consultant for the past decade, and that definitely began at the right point in time for her. But she do wish that she had shifted my mindset from “independent consultant” to “consultancy” earlier in her journey for a few reasons. Initially when her client load would get to large she would have to turn down work – there just wasn’t enough of her to do it all. Once she shifted to the consultancy mindset, and started bringing on additional talent to help manage different aspects of projects, she was able to take on more and continue to build the Shan Comms book of business (and revenue) while maintaining a product standard she could be proud of.

Advice for Women Entrepreneurs:

It sounds cliche, but don't be afraid to be honest. Do what you say you are going to do, and when unforeseen things or obstacles pop up, be up front about it. That also includes being honest with what you need from your clients and employees in order to be successful.
