Great Companies: How did you get your idea or concept for the business?
Sandeep Khetarpal: After 30 years in the tourism business, I have seen that the travel agents across India struggle in connecting and working with the genuine DMC's. Most of the small and medium agencies lack the destination knowledge and content which is needed to support their client needs. Similarly, the DMC's also need genuine Travel Agents to work with in India. To bridge this gap, the concept of The Global rep was conceptualized.

Great Companies: What makes The Global Rep different from hundreds of other similar service providers?
The Difference between The Global Rep and other similar service providers is that we have 30 years of experience of having worked as a Travel agent, Tour operator and a hotelier. We have the pulse of the destination and also the need of the agency, hence it gives us the required expertise to provide closures for both the agents and DMC's easily ensuring there is no communication gap.
Great Companies: What are the struggles and challenges you face?
Sandeep Khetarpal: Currently we are facing Challenges being faced by entire Travel fraternity which is Covid pandemic due to which restrictions are for travel.
There is also a challenge to find the right people to work for you as there has been an exodus of travel persons into different industries.
Great Companies: How do you plan to grow in the future? What does 5 years down the line look like for The Global Rep?
Sandeep Khetarpal: Our aim is to bring more DMC's in our portfolio and have more than 100 DMC's working through us in the next 5 years.
