Great Companies: How did you get your idea or concept for the business?
Khyati Naigandhi: I have always been a very passionate recruiter and feel joy in finding the right job for someone.
When I had my daughter 12 years back, it was the happiest moment for me but it also came with a mountain of responsibilities. Being a new mother, it can get extremely challenging to handle work and your baby, even with a strong support system at home - and I was no different. I did not want to compromise on myself, my health, my family, my baby and neither did I want to give up my career because I loved it. I did not want to choose between them. I wanted them all and rightfully so. And when I looked around I saw so many women going through the same dilemma as me.
That’s when I decided to do something about it and give myself and all these talented women a platform - which gave us the freedom and flexibility to be independent, to continue living our dreams - to not give up - to be tenacious!
And finally in January 2021, TenaSHEous was born!
Today we are a team of passionate & dedicated women from different cities and thriving..

Great Companies: What are the struggles and challenges you face?
Khyati Naigandhi: TenaSHEous came to life in Jan’21 when the pandemic was at its peak. Most companies had stopped hiring. In fact, there was rapid downsizing happening across industries but like it’s mentioned by my favorite author ― Paulo Coelho, in his book - The Alchemist - “When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.”
Holding on to this phrase, we stayed determined to our goal & kept approaching different companies. Slowly & steadily we got some of the best brands to work with. And today, we are proudly hiring for some of the best brands in various industries.
Great Companies: How do you plan to grow in the future? What do 5 years down the line look like for TenaSHEous?
Khyati Naigandhi: TenaSHEous has a greater purpose - it is to empower women to become independent, be their own boss and live with pride. Even today a lot of women end up letting their well accomplished career go because they have to choose between a career and personal commitments due to various reasons. I say, why can't we do both?
TenaSHEous’s goal is for these women to have a successful career without having to compromise on their personal life. We wish to give this platform to as many women as possible who are like-minded and tenacious like us.
While that’s our innate goal, company wise we have a strong strategy in place to become India’s leading and most credible executive search firm in the next 5 years. We also intend to broaden our bouquet of services and eventually expand across India.
Great Companies: If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be?
Khyati Naigandhi: The biggest adventure you can ever take is to live the life of your dreams.
If you are dreaming about something for a long time and if it’s not letting you sleep then just go for it, just give wings to those dreams. It will find its way and learn to fly. But take that first step!
