Jyot Rekhi, Founder & COO at WAI

Great Companies: How did you get your idea or concept for the business?

Jyot Rekhi: The curiosity to learn more about the mysteries of the human mind and its potential led us to perform research on personalities and behavior patterns using scientific methods. We began by making a prototype that could decode the core (inborn) personality and behavior traits of an individual by studying the patterns on their fingerprints using automation and AI.

We further built a SaaS with a human-centered approach to benefit diverse areas like education, businesses, coaching, wellness, and intelligence to make informed decisions that are driven by data for personalizing learning, processes, and people management.

Great Companies: What are the various services provided by WAI

Jyot Rekhi: We provide white-labeled solutions for our proprietary model and SaaS, MiND EngineeringTM - a behavioral assessment smart tool. These are complemented by personalized training and certification programs for educators, coaches, and businesses. Our auxiliary services include cognitive training that uses Neurobics and Brainwave Music as a therapy for mental health and productivity.

Great Companies: What makes WAI different from hundreds of other similar service providers?

Jyot Rekhi: Our X factor at WAI is building solutions that are expertly researched, evidence-based, and constantly evolving. Our MiND EngineeringTM assessments are free from Question-answers, making the process a breeze, manipulation-free, and easy to facilitate in areas where psychometric or similar tests may have limitations. For example, assessing the personality of age groups 2-8 years or individuals with special needs or challenges such as cognitive behavioral disorders, ADHD, etc.

Great Companies: What were the struggles and challenges you faced and how did you overcome them?

Jyot Rekhi: WAI is a covid survivor. The lockdown in 2020 coincided with our launch dates and messed with our execution plan. The main struggle was managing energy and adapting to changes without losing sight of the reason why we started. Regular breakouts, supportive conversations, and confrontations with our core team kept us going.

Great Companies: How do you plan to grow in the future? What does 5 years down the line WAI?

Jyot Rekhi: Our vision is to introduce 16+ applications of MiND EngineeringTM assessments and make it a smart research tool for global and local organizations to personalize their solutions, thereby positively impacting people from multiple geographies.

Great Companies: If you had one piece of advice for someone just starting out, what would it be?

Jyot Rekhi: Enjoy the journey - be fearless, patient, persistent, and open to changing earlier decisions if new ideas need to be deployed. And most importantly, use MiND assessments to find compatible business partners and teams ;)
