Great Companies: How did you get your idea or concept for the business?
Bharatbhushan Nirmal: Have been into the Market Research Industry for almost 16+ years , so it was not so difficult to get the idea. The people (Freelancers) who were associated with me during my tenure in Market research were the people who encouraged me to take a plunge into becoming an entrepreneur, I personally had no courage to take this move concerning the budgetary and investment constraints.

Bharatbhushan Nirmal: Our major chunk is into Field & Tab (Operations and Data Supply), almost 95%, this is the challenging part when we talk about a typical Market Research Project.
Our Services Include: Qualitative Studies ( In-depth Interviews, Group Discussions ) and Quantitative Studies (Central Location Test, Face-to-Face Interviews, Opinion Poll, Product placements, Concept testing, Customer Satisfaction Studies, Employee Satisfaction Studies, Mystery Audits, Mystery Shopping, B2B, B2C, Industrial Studies)
Great Companies: What makes ROSE Research and Promotions different from hundreds of other Market Research Firms?
We are different because we don't over commit and accept our limitations and weaknesses. We talk very practically to our clients and don't give them last minute shocks. Most of the clients are not very interactive so at times we have to initiate the feedback sessions to keep improving our offerings and services. 80% of the clients want to keep it very simple and clean so we try to be straight to the point.
Companies know how to do research but the most challenging task is how to manage people and that is where we are try to put our efforts.
Great Companies: What are the struggles and challenges you face?
Bharatbhushan Nirmal: The struggle is with the maintaining of the quality and rates of the services, lately this industry has started evolving and we can see lot of competition and clients are choosy when it comes to the pricing. Quality is secondary, if proper budgeting is not done we struggle to maintain the man-day rates and that impacts to a certain extent on the quality of service, so we have to continuously balance the quality and cost of the service.
Great Companies: How do you plan to grow in the future? What does 5 years down the line look like for ROSE Research and Promotions?
Bharatbhushan Nirmal: We are not focusing of growing number of clients ( that has to come naturally) but main focus is on giving good service and generating repeat business. Getting higher number of clients has a disadvantage when we are not able to give proper attention and also there will be a lot of distraction. So satisfied clients will help by spreading word of mouth publicity.
5 Years down the line we want to have a very stable business with at least a branch in all the Metro Cities in India with a secure job to all the employees.
Great Companies: If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be?
Bharatbhushan Nirmal: Keep your Clients and employees satisfied and happy and you will sustain.
