Great Companies: Please tell me something about the business and how did you come up with such an idea?
Arun Thomas: We started in 2007. At that time there were no dedicated bike portals in India. I jumped upon the idea when I sold my brother's bike through corporate job boards.
Great Companies: What are the various services and products provided by your company?
Arun Thomas: Trade Second Hand Bikes, Book Test Drive for New Bikes, Get finance for used or new two-wheelers.
Great Companies: Why should one choose you over others in this field?
Arun Thomas: Bikes4Sale is the only fully paid classifieds website for two-wheelers in India. We charge a small listing fee from Seller and that keeps the fraudsters away from the platform. So, the trust factor is much higher than free classifieds platforms. Also, our used bike valuation tool (launched in 2011) gives a very good idea about the current market value of the bike.
Great Companies: What are the struggles and challenges you face?
Arun Thomas: We are bootstrapped. Lack of funds is the main struggle which we face.
