Anuj Agrawal: When I moved to Bangalore in 2003, the city was booming with the IT and ITES revolution. The boom was fuelled by recruiting human resources in large numbers. It was easy to see that hiring was the primary driving force and differentiator amongst all IT-based organisations. All this action led me to choose recruitment as the line of business, as I believed I could create long-term value and solve the biggest challenge for all organisations.

Anuj Agrawal: Recruitment is one of the oldest and the most complex challenge for all enterprises. Creating a value proposition consistently for customers is one of the toughest challenges we deal with daily. Besides, a highly competitive job market makes it challenging to make candidates join all the time.
Great Companies: How do you plan to grow in the future? What do five years down the line look like for Zyoin?
Anuj Agrawal: During the early years of Zyoin, we as an organisation catered predominantly to a niche market; scaling up was not part of the plan. But over the years, we decided that we would want to become a scale player rather than a niche player. We are a team of around 200 as of now with operations in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Noida.
We plan to take the path of horizontal growth to scale our operations and continue to cater diverse needs of all our customers. With our current appetite and opportunities in hand, we would like to rise to 1000 people with operations over eight cities within India.
Great Companies: If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting up, what would it be?
Anuj Agrawal: Here are few tips for anyone who is starting up.
Be a lifetime learner. Learn from anyone and everyone.
Always try to be better than yesterday. There is always a scope for improvement.
Remember, failure is not the opposite of success; it is an essential part of success, so never give up.
Accept that you will not always make the right decisions, that you will screw up several times. It is ok to do that. So keep yourself motivated and ever-evolving.
